I'm not going to lie, I'd be delighted if Hamm were cast as Batman, very delighted. That's the first choice that just really excites me.

What do you mean? He definitely is available. He's shooting that movie as we speak, in October he starts on Mad Men which im sure finishes before Batman/Superman starts.

As much as I don't want them to mess with Nolan's trilogy, I guess my #1 choice would be to bring Bale back. Warner Bros. seems to be putting Batman in the mix because MOS didn't perform as they had hoped at the box office. If you want more money, put Bale back in the batsuit!

I just don't see Bale playing Batman again. I would love to see him back playing older Dark Knight but when he already played older Bats in Rises.

If they want Dark Knight Returns Batman but like 10 years younger, Brolin works. If they want Arkham City/Animated Series Batman then Hamm is perfection.

He was never fat and soft is the type they wanted for Mad Men because an ad man in the 60's is not going to have some killer abs. He's still an extremely handsome mofo. If they are going older (he's not 60 or anything) and his schedule allows (and he wants to do it of course) I want Hamm for Batman.

I think that Matt Bomer looks mature enough for the part. As he gets older he will fit into the character very well.

He is 35 years old now and by the time movie is released he will be 37 years old, to me that's old enough to look mature. By the time a JL movie is released he will cross 40.

Here he looks like Bruce Wayne straight from Jim Lee's drawings. (IMO.)

I think Bale probably became tired of their calls/requests and decided to publicly state that he was done with the role. I doubt this deterred WB's efforts to bring him back.
