BvS Likely Deductions About Who'll Be Cast as the Next Batman

Elmayimbe's tweet might not mean Josh Brolin though. He could have been just saying BatmanOnFilm has some batnews and it could be an oldboy, meaning it's an older actor that could be Brolin (who is on Jett's list).

So maybe we're jumping the gun here on the whole Josh Brolin thing.

It's Jett too, when he gets real specific he usually ends up wrong lol. So ill just believe that his "older actor in his 40s" scoop is legit but it could still be any actor. Like ElMayimbe says, it could be Bale since he's hearing he's still in the loop. And I truly believe Latino Review has better insiders than Jett. Jett usually banks on ElMay's scoops.

I prefer an older Batman, his years of experience would make it more believable that he could go up against Supes.

A young just starting out Batman wouldnt be up to fighting a god

Wes Bentley, he is batman.

I like Bentley for Bats, as long as he's been at it for awhile and not just starting out

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo you changed it. :(

I shouldn't have mentioned anything. :oldrazz:

You left me no choice man. :funny:

Also, this just popped up.

Gotta say, not really feeling Brolin all that much if I'm being honest with myself. Maybe it's just the fact that he was in W. that's messing with me, but I can't help but see George Bush every time I look at his face. He's a great actor though.

I definitely think Hamm would be the better choice, even if it's sort of obvious. Obvious isn't always bad necessarily. Bale was the obvious choice in 2003.

Sorry boys but I'm not on this new Bentley bandwagon.
Me neither. It's not that I think he's a bad actor, but every character I've ever seen him play has been so...weak in some way. It's his voice, it's the way he carries himself...he just doesn't have a strong or commanding presence at all, imo.

The reason I prefer an older Batman is because there are so many better actors in their 40's then there are younger actors. Seriously Tyler Hoechlin? Taylor Kitchs? The 20 somethings are nothing compared to guys like John Hamm, Josh Brolin....The older group of actors have so much more talent than the younger guys. Not that there aren't good young actors too. Obviously there are that I would love to see as Batman, but the older Actors are just more elite.

Thankyou! That word, "weakness," that's what I was trying to put my finger on but couldn't. Maybe someone can point out a good role where we don't see that inner wuss? Because that isn't Batman.

She'll work her way down to 30 somethings...that sounded dirtier than I wanted it to.

It sounded fine to me! :awesome:

Where did the Wes Bentley idea come from? the only Bentley associated with Bruce Wayne should be one Alfred is chauffeuring him around in.

So glad I'm not alone on Bentley. Sure, he's got the devilishly handsome looks and the haunted/crazy eyes. But that alone a Batman doesn't make.

Bones as Batman isn't going to happen either. I love Karl Urban, but I just don't see it happening.

Urban is now a possibility.

But it's still between Brolin, Hamm and Bale for me.

Oldboy?

It's Christopher Lee.

Isnt Urban busy filming his new TV show?

Brolin would be the ugliest Bruce Wayne of all time if he was cast. In all the comics, animated shows and movies.

Of course it did. :oldrazz:

I think that most just want him for the role because he has a role in Interstellar and they assume Nolan is casting the film even though we don't know how involved he will be in this sorta sequel to MOS.

And before somebody calls me out I'll acknowledge that some wanted him before he was cast in Interstellar.

I guess I have weirder taste than most people here, but I'd rather see Brad Pitt as Batman then Wes Bentley.

The Bentley suggestions remind me of when people wanted Crispin Glover to play The Joker in The Dark Knight. It just feels so tacky.

I think it's a lazy choice because I believe that most only want him because they think he is going to be cast because of the Nolan connection.

Don't get me wrong I have that lazy "this guy played in a Snyder movie so maybe he'll get the role!" lazy choice mentality as well. But at least I'm talking about a connection to the director and not the producer who we have no idea how involved he will be yet.

I can see Bentley. I can really see him.

Not true. That logic makes no sense. If anything, "the Nolan connection" just makes Wes supporters, such as myself, all the more hopeful that he might get the role. Again, people aren't going to want an actor to be Batman "only" because he was recently cast in a Nolan film unless they could give two ****s about this film, and I don't think that's the case for any of us on here.
