Live Action 'Dumbo'

I hope so.

I need to see them get drunk and hallucinate to pink elephants Burton-style ala...

I don't think they could do it without Timothy, could they? He's a major catalyst in the story.

In the animated version. I'm pretty sure he's been replaced by the human characters in this one.

Well, if it's truly a "sequel" to the animated film then I guess they could.

Looks incredible. Was skeptical about this, but that trailer looks great!! There's also a video on YouTube supposedly of the Lion King. Not sure if it's real or not though, some of the shots look like the Jungle Book.

No Timothy, apparently, it looks like he was replaced by the kids.

They need to stop with the creepy slowed down pop songs.

My first thought was was...the dude that wrote Seven and the last few TF flicks.

This looks beautiful, Dumbo was a favorite of mine as a kid. This is looking great. Definitely excited about seeing this one.

i completely forgot this was coming out. And I didn't realize how stacked the cast was.

Never really liked Dumbo as a kid though

Hopefully a remake that doesn't feel as pointless as Beauty and the Beast. Considering how short the animated Dumbo is there's certainly room for expanding the story and give the movie more meat on the bones so to speak.

Bet at the end it’s revealed this movie is in the same universe as Big Fish.

Tim Burton has made some of my favorite films. That said, his work in the 2000s (outside Sweeney Todd and Big Fish) have largely been mediocre to bad. Granted, I didn't see Frankenweenie which people seemed to like, but I skipped it largely due to most of his newer films being garbage. The biggest example for me being his trash Alice in Wonderland film. I cannot say enough how much I just HATE that film. This has a good trailer. I love Dumbo. The cast looks great. It reminds me of Big Fish (one of my probably 3 or 4 favorite Burton films). I want to believe this will be great. But then I remember Alice in Wonderland and I just cannot get pumped for this. I have to see reviews.

Frankenweenie was cute, but nothing to write home about.

Wow, didn't realize they had such a great cast for this. Dumbo looks really cute. It's too soon to tell but judging from the teaser and the cast, the other animals look to have been replaced by the humans.

Huh. Was not excited for this, but that trailer peaked my interest. Dumbo looks terrific.
