it actually looks almost exactly like killer croc fro Batman TAS

I'll just quote an earlier post:Well, what did you expect? A Velociraptor in a lab coat?
Give it red eyes, elongated teeth, and The Lizard's trademark clothes and I would have been happy as a clam.I didn't want him to look like a velociraptor or crocodile. Dr. Connor's serum is derived from lizard DNA for regenerative purposes. Those two species, along with Komodo dragons, cannot regenerate lost limbs. It makes no sense for The Lizard to resemble those creatures.
Whenever I think of The Lizard, I think of a humanoid skink:

I can visualize it pretty well, but I don't have the Photoshop/manip skills to do it justiceI'd love to see a design of that.

Anyway, my ideal scenario would have been for The Lizard to be given the "Fly" treatment. Have him start out looking fairly humanesque (Ditko/Romita designs), and have him become more and more bestial and reptilian as the film progresses.
I've seen that image but didn't think it was for the cartoon, seeing as the drawing was taken directly out of the comics. In fact I'm pretty sure all the background characters were. Now, apart from the traditional costume, the art style of Spider-Man in the cartoon looks nothing like that, does it?For someone who acts like they know a thing about the new cartoon and have never seen the poster....shame

Yah....that would be Ultimate Green Goblin in the top corner
And that would be Ultimate Doc Ock in the other corner
And....once again, you take that I am insulted by your remarks, but no, you're only acting like a child as only a child would have some kind of name-calling battle with my username, hence why I called you a kid on the last comment.
Know your **** before you type a remark.
You guys make up the lamest excuses for the film makers. That's one thing this forum currently lacks completely and that's people who dare to criticize as harshly as they actually feel.It seems like everyone wants this:

Here's the thing though: Thats an alligator/T-Rex hybrid head. Not a Lizard. Case closed.
Something I'm not sure if anyone mentioned, is how this version can be portrayed. One of the problems you create for yourself when you give him a ling lizard snout, if how do you make him speak. By keeping a more humanoid face, it enables them to let The Lizard speak in a believable manner. Making something that looks like a velociraptor talk would look corny and, at least in my opinion, very distracting. Those are my thoughts on the look.
He speaks in the comics, so yeah! In fact, I'm hoping for a scene of him grabbing Spidey and screaming, "WARM BLOOD!!!"Do we really want the Lizard to speak?

That's the only problem with a long bestial snout, that it definitely can't speak as clearly as with a humanoid mouth.Something I'm not sure if anyone mentioned, is how this version can be portrayed. Whatcha guys think?

You treat that like it's technically confirming what you claim. I know about the **** I type, but it's obvious you don't.
Do we really want the Lizard to speak?

That's the only problem with a long bestial snout, that it definitely can't speak as clearly as with a humanoid mouth.
Still, I'm pretty sure it can be worked out. That raptor face looks like it could mimic how we mostly speak.
Take "WARM BLOOD", for example. If you observe how our mouths shape when we say that, you can imagine it is definitely possible on a raptor face as well. Vowels shouldn't be a problem as long as you give it a voice. "W" takes a simple shape with our mouth that I can imagine on a raptor's, "M" is just a closed-mouth sound, "L" is simply our tongue and the upper part of our mouth making the sound, "D" is the same as "L" except we create that "D" sound compression when we make air molecules collide or something like that.
Hope I didn't sound too long-winded, but you can see its plausibility. The only issue could be that we (or just I) haven't seen a bestial face trying to realistically speak like humans (except for Pixar), so it may look wrong or weird at first, and may or may not get used to it. But then again, it may not have a problem at all.
In fact, think of Pixar! They have plenty of non-humanoid faces speaking and it looks completely plausible, don't they? It just took them a bunch of talented animators.

Now will people shut the **** up about his human-looking mouth? Doesn't look too human now, does it?![]()
How would you have felt if we had gotten something like one of these?
