The Amazing Spider-Man Lizard's New Look: Verdict?--POLL

What did you think of his appearance?

  • PERFECT! It's the character come to life!

  • THAT'S the Lizard?! Mini-godzilla without the coat?

  • Can't tell yet. He wasn't in the trailer enough.

  • Where's Venom?!

  • It seems ok.

:awesome::awesome::awesome::awesome:

The resemblance is uncanny

It's not even just the fact it's a bad Lizard design, Hasbro just blows.

The kid stuff for Dark Knight Rises sucks too. I'm hoping the Movie Masters stuff kicks ass like it usually does.

Seems movie figures are getting worse and worse.

Agreed. As a figure collector this is probaly the only spidey figures I won't be getting from the movie. Diamond select looks great. Hasbro is just so bad with putting rocket launchers on every figure

Anyone else notice one of the Lizard toys has transparent legs? If that's the case, this Lizard might have a chameleon-like ability. Nice.

That would be a nice touch.

I don't think he'll have the ability to turn transparent in the movie. It'll be pointless against Spidey anyways.

Overall I still hate that they they are going with this look. As I've mentioned before this is simply NOT Lizard. It looks like they re-used an old design from x-files or Mario bros. Whatever. And for those who say it's Ditko's Lizard I disagree. Just taking away his popular snout does not make this Ditko's Lizard.

I mean if this character had popped up in some other sci-fi movie or tv show a few years ago not a single person would say "hey that looks like Lizard from Spiderman!"

I figured out what I do like about the character though. The huge neck. There's something about that which is creepy and cool. The body texture/scales is cool as well.

Some people are NEVER pleased and they want every damn detail translated on screen, in the way the want!

This

For many people it's probably the fact that they so much wanted a certain look that if they did otherwise, even if that look was cool too, they automaticly hate it

sorry for any possible typing errors, I'm drunk...

While this is true, I don't think it's fair to throw that at everyone who dislikes the design. I don't dislike the design, but I definitley understand why many people aren't thrilled with it. I was a fan of the more McFarlane/90's Spider-man lizard as well. And to many people that is "the Lizard" to them. This design is not the way he's normally been portrayed for the past 30 years.

So some dissatisfaction isn't all that surprising.

Dudes, wait until you see Lizard up on the big screen - one word WOW - I felt my inner voice screaming "it's the lizard!!!!" This creature looks kinda cool on the small screen, but up on the big screen? He definitely has an effect.

I don't get it either.

he is just making a joke about the fans who kept asking for Venom to appear in the films, that reportedly led to his forced inclusion in SM3. the same pool of fans who are probably still demanding to see him onscreen, as they thought he wasn't represneted well enough.

But it's not funny when really no one wished for him to be in the first film of the reboot series.

I actually voted Where's Venom? but I don't want him to be in the first film of the reboot series. I just found that option the more lulzy one.

I see no problem with four as long as the quality of each movie is consistent.
