The Amazing Spider-Man Lizard's New Look: Verdict?--POLL

What did you think of his appearance?

  • PERFECT! It's the character come to life!

  • THAT'S the Lizard?! Mini-godzilla without the coat?

  • Can't tell yet. He wasn't in the trailer enough.

  • Where's Venom?!

  • It seems ok.

I hope the first transformation is done like the first Ghost Rider.

Um, no thank you lol...

I still find the film at least entertaining, but that scene I'm guessing isn't meant to be funny towards the end.

He changes back and forth. It'd be boring if he just changed once and was the Lizard for the rest of the movie.

Hope not. It wouldn't be boring it would be doing the character justice. Unless Connors knows nothing about the Lizard. Because that would be saying CONNORS is the bad guy as well - not just the LIZARD. Where the awesome thing about him is CONNORS is a good guy. Unless after the injection he can't stop it - I guess I'd be okay with that too. Just not a Connors who willingly becomes the Lizard repeatedly.

I think he'll only wear the coat when he's still just "human with scales", but that's good enough for me! :) There's no logic in that huge beast having it.

Hulk logic. Connors and Banner both wear stretchy purple pants. Coincidence?

NO!

These pants exists in the Marvel world of Marvel...

I didn't mean the humor or craziness of that scene, I meant actually seeing his transformation. Opposed to seeing a shadow of Connors become the Lizard off screen.

Urm... what?

Marc said that the formula that Connors becomes addictive for him. And that he has similar motives to Peter, just different ways of going about them. He's basically morally grey.

"There's this symmetrical theme in Curt Connors being the literal embodiment of the movie's theme: we all have a missing piece. How we look to fill that void is how we define ourselves. It made sense. After I figured that out, it was a logical choice. Obviously, Curt's morality is looser than Peter's turns out to be, but their motivations are quite similar,".

And yes. It would be boring. You don't think it'd be interesting to see Connors react to the things he's done? The people he's killed/hurt?

I want Connors to be nice though, maybe if he survives and fights his addiction he can assist Peter.

I want Lizarf to kill, destroy and hurt people/things.

He should go full out beast.

My favorite transformation moment was the way it was done in Spectacular Spider-Man.

''I made...a terrible...mistake''
The way it was said, the tone of the scene...it was just brilliant. I really felt his pain and repentance, and it was just a cartoon. I hope the same for the movie.

Oh I remeber that scene, it was said so well.

Doesnt Conners transformation take time?

In that cartoon?

It built up slowly, with him regaining the arm for a while. But when he started noticing he was getting scales and become agitated, the full transformation kicked in.

I got chills.

I can't say I get chills with a cartoon. Perhaps the only time has been hearing Batman: TAS theme every time it plays.

It could be worse.

But well, we'll have to accept the Sleestack Version...

Not gonna lie. I squealed a little when I saw the caption on the SHH front page.

Now that? Is the Lizard!

His face looks so much different here. I wonder if they went back to the drawing board and gave him a longer snout after the fan reactions. seems like that would be rather hard to do though.

As other people have said, we've only really seen him in detail from the front so profile shot we see the snout. It's classic.

Call me nuts but that is a snout !

Not long like a raptor, but it's definitely there.

The labcoat just makes it so much more visually interesting, instead of just green skin throughout.
