I'm watching it on repeat, tears in my eyes...

Film looks amazing. Can't wait for a redband trailer. I think the violence will be quite vicious.

And of course, most are concerned about the other movies. sigh

I'm more interested in how the story is handled then the R rating.

I don't think being rated R will make or break the movie. I'd the story is handled poorly but it's rated R that won't make the movie better for me. I never got the hype people got for Wolverine being R

So, who do you think Logan is fighting near the end of the Trailer? It's someone with claws, the amount of blades as Logan, and it doesn't look like the hand belongs to X-23.

Deadpool 2 will probably erase this film with their time travel shenanigans involving Cable lol

Me too bro, can't stop myself. So much heart in the trailer. Now it really hit me, this is probably the last time we see Wolverine and Prof. Xaviers. It's gonna be so emotionally heavy, I'm not ready for this. :csad:

I dont think this is a sign we wont see anymore x-men team films since i am still convinced we will get another film with the new cast but it does seem like this logan gloomy setting is gonna be a passing of the torch to X-Force

Having just watched it...impressive. And what I like most about it is, like certain comic book films like Winter Soldier or Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, it doesn't even feel like a superhero or comic book movie first. It just feels like...a movie and it's main characters are the X-Men. Definitely like the tone.

But if this indeed takes place one year after Days of Future Past........what did Deadpool do? Did he go and kill the Fox X-Men Universe save for Logan, Xavier, Negasonic, Colossus, and everyone here?

I'm shocked Fox let Mangold make a movie like this. Maybe this is their way of apologizing to him after meddling with The Wolverine.

Although who knows, maybe we'll have a CGI filled third act in this one too ;)

Just leak as these movies as individual stories.

Ryan Reynolds has already said in an interview that they didn't care much about continuity, and that they really did their own thing, despite nods to the bigger X-Men world.

IMO the guys at Fox are the real deal right now. Balls of steel! I hope it pays off for them, like it did for Deadpool.

Alternative title for the movie:
"The Last of X"
referencing that they're the last remaining X-Men, it's the last movie featuring Logan/Weapon X and a nod to a video game with seemingly very similar character dynamics and setting.

How can the people working on the movie and Fox studio industry execs not be like WTF at The Wolverine's third act? lol The tone was completely different from acts 1 and 2..

Now, that's how you make a trailer! Genuinely moving and poignant! Consider me impressed.

Anything with Johnny Cash's Hurt will get me interested. Looking forward to the dynamic between Logan and Prof. X, the shot of Jackman carrying Patrick Stewart, and the three way smiling between Wolverine, Prof and X-23(?) made me feel things.

Wow, this film is going to be an absolute heartbreaker. Looks fantastic.

On an unrelated note, given that this looks like Fox is giving Mangold the breathing room for this movie, here's hoping the director of the next main X-Men film with that younger team gets some similar trust.
