I am certain that Wolverine won't be recast until the series is completely rebooted.

Curious to see if Hugh can resist a Deadpool appearance. I'm guessing he'll do it, though I understand his reservations. Sadly a lot of the films in this franchise seem to drop at the wrong time.

if fox continues with apocalypse cast and at least mcavoy in full X_Men films I don't see how they avoid recasting of wolverine at some point. But,then again
another full X-Men film is question mark for now.

i would say it's looking very likely Jackman cameos In Deadpool 2.in comment on it he didn't say 100% no.also remember actors have said in past this film is 100% the last and then they end up coming back.

i will concede it's possibly fox want to do new mutants trilogy, complete deadpool trilogy, and if things remain good with reynolds do X-force trilogy and then do massive reboot of franchise.

After logan it's possable untill reboot only actully X_Men characters in films are Xavier and other apocalypse cast members cameos In new mutants trilogy.as well as likely wolverine cameo In Deadpool 2.

Maybe a gratuitous cameo

It would be such a strange decision by FOX not to re-cast Wolverine ASAP after Jackman is gone. Wolverine is one of the most beloved, iconic characters in the MARVEL universe and obviously sells tickets. Casting alone will generate already so much media attention and hype for the future of the franchise.

I gurantee you if fox should handed over X-Men to disney as some advocate wolverine would be recast ASAP.remember civil war only came out 2 years after ASM2 which made 700 million WW.The days of waiting long for reboot are over.it tokk almost 9 years for WB to reboot batman after B & R .Plus feige would want to put wolverine with the avengers.i will be very shocked if Spider-man isn't in untitled avengers sequel.

Hugh Jackman's image is etched into every single pore of this franchise. He's appeared onscreen with everyone in this sprawling cast and looks like Hugh Jackman in every timeline (so a 'younger' version isn't a viable option). He's also unquestionably the franchise's biggest star. Replacing that face would be huge risk.

Fox are eyeing up their options for replacement flagship characters and franchises. With Deadpool alone, Fox can afford to give Wolverine a rest for a while. The press around a new Logan would indeed be huge, but I'm also thinking it would be divisive at best, and unlikely to generate much positive buzz. I'm guessing the moment Fox decide they need a new Wolverine, it'll mark the start of a complete relaunch.

Maybe a gratuitous cameo

How could he turn down a fun cameo. I don't think it would hurt Logan's standing as a final film very much if it was just a small appearance.

it really depends on what direction they are going.big question is what logan will say on fates on other characters.right now like gambit another X-men film isn't a given.fox is focusing on spin-offs where they can get away with not dealing with wolverine. You have 2 sequels to deadpool planned.new mutants planned as trilogy.and X-force is where deadpool sequels seem to
be headed too.Deadpool 2 will be set before logan so it wouldn't ruin anything in logan for wolverine to make appearance in deadpool 2.X-23 may be helping to feel the wolverine void in X-force.Fox could very easily decide after logan do deadpool sequels.and do new mutants and X-force trilogys and then reboot. If sony would have done rami's spider-man 4 the plan was to immedetly reboot after that.so if reynolds does an X-force trilogy trilogy after that fox could reboot.X-Men can still show up in supporting roles In
New mutants trilogy. That way apart from possable cameo in deadpool 2 fox has put distance from jackman's farwell In logan to accept a new wolverine
in reboot.but,if later this year they announce a new X_Men film after new mutants and deadpool 2 who knows.

Pro.Boxoffice.com early Box office prediction is up. It seems a bit optimistic, but then these guys predicted a breakout for Deadpool.

Would anyone really complain though if Hugh came back another one last time for a Wolverine & Deadpool team up ?

Me. Hugh is so stiff as Logan and he wouldn't look good fighting beside or against Reynolds who looks excellent during fight choreography.

I want midget Wolverine

LoL

Jean Grey: Logan Wya?
Logan: Busy, helping Prof X
Jean Grey: Scott's gone for the evening
Logan: .......

better don't take his opinion seriously. He is a X-Men hater. :whatever:

I think X-Men in the greatest thing ever created in genre. So I'm not a hater. The movies aren't great but I still see them every opening Thursday night

the movies are actually fantastic!! best of the genre. critics agree. broaden your horizon! :)

I'm just super happy that these movies have been so fantastic for about 17 years. And LOGAN will be also as great as X1, X2, First Class, The Wolverine, and Days of Future Past. What a beautiful run for FOX creating this amazing movie series.

Pretty crazy how loved and celebrated this mainstream series is by professional critics.

This series also supported and gave a platform to so many openly gay (and closeted) outstanding actors/actresses over the years which is pretty unique for a studio like FOX.

I'm just having a moment enjoying to be a X-Men fan growing up with these beautiful (queer) movies. Thank you, Bryan Singer. Thank you, Fox!!

This is beyond irrelevant to me. Characters > Actors IMO

And when FoX has full control of the first openly gay super hero but won't put him on screen at all because reasons, then I could care less

maybe we are a different generation. You seem to be very, very young. For my generation it already meant something to see at least these queer actors, actresses and director giving interviews and speaking about their queer experiences openly in relation to the mutant metaphor.

Emotionally it meant a lot to me in the early 2000s.

Where are all the queer actors/actresses (or characters) in the MCU 16 years later?!?!

I'm presumably quite a bit younger, but I do feel the same way about this. :)
