I love seeing the human side to Charles where he's like "I'm f***ing ninety," however I always thought of him as...um...very Christian? I mean no cursing...never standing a hand in violence, advocating for peace. Very Gandhi-like.

In spite of his younger self in Days of Future Past, but he was out-of-character then and going through a depressing stage. Just thought of Charles would always be that type of "Watch your language, Logan!" kind of person.

Or maybe not. Perhaps just because of PG-13 rating censorship.

F-bombs aren't that central but...it's irritating when it has to be edited out all the time because they have to change the rating. Just say what you want to say. Okay here's the thing that I'm annoyed with...

Most PG-13 movies can get away with saying the F word 1 time...but that's not true...there are several other PG-13 movies that were able to say it at least THREE TIMES without changing the MPAA rating to "R".

"Yes Man" for example, a PG-13 movie, the f word was used 3 times. There was at least one other PG-13 movie that got away with using the word no more than 3 times, but I can't think of what it is at the moment.

It annoys me how in "The Wolverine", Logan only said "F**k" once, but in the extended cut, he says it 2 more times. Even once was great but we already heard him say "Go f**k yourself"

But when he says, "And if I don't like what you say, you go out that f**king window!"

And that had to be censored...really disappointed. It wouldn't have killed the rating, they could have said it only 3 times.

It was true to the character and it's what he wanted to say. Hate that it was edited out.

:funny: She would've given the whole film away if her pop didn't stop her. She almost dropped some spoilers.
Wait what? In the interview above ^ they are talking about a 2015 BBC TV sc-fi series called The Refugees, where she and her father act together. That is the story she almost spoils.

Are you saying her real life parents are also in Logan with her?
Cute kid. Her RL parents are playing her parents in Logan. They basically said it's a sci-fi premise with a very human story at it's core which is what will surprise people.
What?

They said that about the sci-fi TV series called The Refugees, or they said that about Logan?

Charles is senile in this film though, and just inches away from death. Isn't that the biggest out of character moment? XD

Any ideas on who the African American man is during the dinner scene?

The more I think about this the more I think this will be the first CBM to leave me an emotional wreck when I leave the theater.

People lose their inhibitions the older they get. My grandmother God bless, was a devout Catholic most of her life and then went Jevoah's Witness when she immigrated to the US. By the time she hit her early to mid eighties she was cursing like a sailor and drinking more alcohol than than an electric car.

There was little context on what the interview was a bout. I assumed it was for Logan. If her father plays a woodcutter in that series then yeah, I guess it's for the show and not Logan

Let's imagine Logan doesn't line up with previous films. What does it change?

To you, obviously nothing, and that's fine. To others it could impact enjoyment a little. Knowing the x-men series it's not like anyone should be surprised, but for as long as there have been sequels the expectation has been that you bring what you learned in the previous film to the new film. It's annoying when what you learned and developed in the previous films sometimes matters and sometimes don't.

^their danger room does look way better than xmen's ever did though

Wolverine annoys me, never bothered with the first 2 films...but I may watch this one. The trailer intrigued me a bit.

The trailer went online just as I was getting to work this morning...holy hell, that looks great.

I enjoyed both trailers immensely. Thought I was all wolvie'd-out but thanks to these two, I'll be there, watching. Pretty sad my kids can't watch it with me yet but if 'R' makes it a better film, I'm all for it.

Fair enough.

So the girl only speaks Spanish? Wonder why they're stealing and why she just attacks that clerk. Is it because she's been part of a lab experiment most of her life growing up?

Just wanted to note...did anyone notice Logan has shaven and looks slightly like his usual self in some scenes, where he says "I'm not who you think I am."

I'm just wondering why not shave it further, the two sides of his facial hair is slightly longer, but why not cut his hair shorter? I'm just wondering what the reason was for not completely shaving it back to the classic Wolverine haircut and beard? I mean he looks close to classic Wolverine, but only half-way. So why even bother shaving 90% of it?

God that shot of wolverine running and slicing down dudes in the forest is so cool.

Yeah, that scene looks pretty great.

Maybe I'm crazy but I'm wondering if we might actually seen him in a more comic book Wolverine costume at some point during this film.

It's a random family who take in Logan, Charles and Laura.

My initial thought was that it was an interpreter for Laura if she only speaks Spanish in the movie.

Maybe I'm crazy but I'm wondering if we might actually seen him in a more comic book Wolverine costume at some point during this film.

I think if we do it may be in the finale that we see the costume.

I bring up the idea because I'm wondering if the comic book scene in the trailer is actually a piece of foreboding. Everyone seems to agree that it looks completely out of place and way too meta, but it's got me thinking that there might be something more to it. X-23 reads the comics, sees Logan as being a hero, he thinks he isn't, finale comes along where he wants to prove to her and himself that he is, so he dons the costume. Admittedly it's a long shot and I'm maybe reading too much into it, but it's the only explanation I can think of as to why you would put that comic book scene in the trailer. One of those things that the creative team places in plain sight but no one picks up on it.
