Logan Logan - news & discussion - Part 3

now the showrunner is saying legion does and can connect to film but it has to earn any crossover with films first.

Source? A report published this morning still says Legion is OUT of universe. And the other FOX, untitled X-men tv show, IS in universe.

EDIT: I just read the report from Variety stating that it can crossover. Sounds like, once again, FOX isn't f***ing communicating well. Franchise producer Lauren Shuler Donner says it's unrelated. Creator Noah Hawley says it is. Typical FOX.

I must say...[BLACKOUT]these spoilers are very underwhelming. I thought we would get Sabretooth as the surprise villain, but... as odd as this sounds, I'll wait and see it before I judge. This could easily be another Weapon XI/Silver Samurai situation. I've heard great things about act III though, so we'll see...[/BLACKOUT]

it's from one of the trades.and from showrunner.

They can't make their minds up whether it is in the same universe or not, either way don't expect any connections in the first season.

I asked Shawn Madden on twitter if he thinks we've seen anything from the third act.

His response was minimal, if any. I think the Forest Battle takes place after the fight outside the house.

He has the beard when he blocks the claws with his claws. But he has the chops during the forest battle. I doubt he would go back and forth.

chronological order?

So, someone can explain me what is the last act? Sorry for me english.

Why does everything have to be so complicated, just say a wizard did it!

So, there will be two battles in the forest? First with beard and finally, in the last act, with the chops :whatever:

I'm beginning to think that it's an oversight by the filmmakers. There were reports of reshoots happening, and maybe they mistakenly gave him mutton chops for the reshoots?? That's the only thing that makes sense to me right now.

He probably shaves at one point in the film.

He must've been so happy to rock the "Dad Bod"
too bad tho, he was a beast in XO:W and TW, still puts 'the three Chrises' to shame

As amazing as I'm sure this will be, the forest scenes just keep giving me flashbacks to X3.

I'm thinking Xavier
dies during the house attack. Logan and Laura fight and make their escape and go into hiding again. Logan shaves somewhat and within a few days, they're attacked again in the forest (the scene where Wolverine is tearing dudes up). But again, I don't think we've seen anything from the last act.

True that
The wirework fighting bits also don't help
I hope most of the fights are grounded and visceral, and not showy and martial arts-y

I disagree. The whole 10 seconds that we've seen of the forest fight, is far beyond anything we saw in all of X3.

Oh come on, those 10 seconds from the trailer has the same premise as the X3 forest scene. Wolverine slicin' and dicin' bad guys.

There's obviously gonna be more to it but you can't fault people for getting flashbacks from X3.

I'm excited to see how intense the fights get. Mangold telling the journalists in his interview who saw the first act that the characters do even cooler things later on gets me hyped.

And also, screening invites have gone out for Logan.

Except much more epicly (word?) this time around.

He infiltrates Magneto's forest base, where his mutant followers and Phoenix are holed up.

Wolverine goes up against the movie's version of Spyke, where he runs towards him a la the trailer here.

Members here remember it enough to point out that this scene gives them bad vibes.

There are far worse scenes to callback if anyone here has PTSD.

I actually enjoyed the forest fight from X3. Wolverine took out about 4 or 5 mutant baddies.
