Well, she's called X-23 for a reason. Even in the comics she isn't the only one, it's a part of the mythos. What does it hurt? I mean it's not like this character is the main villain. It's a physical threat and it ties in well with not only Logan's attempts to escape his past as Weapon X, but it's also a living example of what he's got to protect Laura from becoming.
[BLACKOUT]There was Lady Deathstrike already.[/BLACKOUT] What's the thrill? It's boring AF.

[BLACKOUT]3 characters with claws in one film.[/BLACKOUT] It's boring. Especially considering what was done before.

Claws? Really? That's your issue? I don't know what to say, other than maybe this isn't the character for you because 75% of Wolverine's villains are clawed in some way, and despite what we've seen in previous films, we have never seen it in an R rated sequence where it'll get the full savagery and gore that is appropriate to the characters. That's where the thrill is.

And this is all of course disregarding the fact that Donald Pierce is still the central antagonist in this film with Zander Rice.

I'm not a fan of Wolverine. But I was looking for a great film. I wasn't going to watch it because it's R. I like the premise and it's low-key nature. [blackout]But yet another CGI Wolverine clone... Yaaawn.[/blackout]

I'm not a fan of Deadpool either, but I love the movie.

And you're ready to write off the entire film because of an asthetic choice for one of the villains? And a not even the lead villain at that?

I didn't write anything off. It's just my expectations for it became much-much lower.

Ok, then consider this. You like Deadpool right? Do you honestly think that Donald Pierce, Zander Rice and [blackout] X-24 [/blackout] are going to be worse villains than Ajax was in that movie?

Depends on how all of that is utilized.

Personally, I wouldn't freak about it. We have no idea where that third act summary came from or if it's true. Some of it sounds like bogus to me but it could play out well.

If it makes yall feel any better, I know a trustworthy source over from another forum who has seen the movie. When I asked him about the movie his exact words were this [BLACKOUT]"Pacing of the film is good. The cut I saw was about 135 minutes long. Had no complaints about the story or dialogue.

I don't know what I'd compare the violence to. It's very Wolverine, just now there's blood and he stabs people through the head. I think it's probably my favorite X-Men movie (First Class and DOFP being my other favorites), and I'd put it in the upper tier of Marvel as well, although I admit I'm a little tired of the superhero format and make not be the best barometer for that.

The third act is strong. The movie introduces a silly villain that threatens to pull another Silver Samurai (watch the green band trailer, think about who the silliest person Wolverine could fight in his final movie could be, and that's the guy), but luckily it doesn't. The movie stays small when it needs to."[/BLACKOUT]

According to him the third act is strong.

I'm guessing it's Bonebreaker. Wolverine takes on a tank-man.

Not only that, but pretty much
Weapon XI also, with more or less the Silver Samurai. I don't know. I also am not feeling it with another clone. More so if it's indeed just a de-aged Hugh Jackman.

I don't like that all the X-Men were killed by Xavier. I know the current timeline will potentially continue in the 90's so there's plently of time and stories to continue the series with, but it's a bit strange to know that their ultimate fate will be getting killed by Xavier. I guess with time travel they can always change that fate at some point.

they may very well say cable in present in Deadpool 2 erases future we see In Logan.now it is kind of hard to have X-23 in present day X_force if she is 11 In 2029 Logan but i guess they could pull the changing timeline causes character to be born earleir again.but main thing they would say is cable somehow prevents the future where xavier causes deaths of so many mutants

Yeah, that. Lol

Yeah, that. Lol

I really don't like idea of cable negating the events of logan but that may happen if logan does indeed basicly say wolverine, xavier, and caliban are only mutants left before the cloned ones like X-23.it's stupid not to recast wolverine to put in 90's set X-Men films if only things of jackman as wolverine that are "canon" In timeline now are being with first class cast in DOFP plus cameos in first class and apocalypse.i don't like moneying around with X-23 birth to put her in present day with deadpool.to do X-force you almost certinly have to erase logan from timeline.

Yep, that too.

I am almost certain they do the whole change the future thing they won't do an obvious DOFP with it where they make it clear if the future is changed, infact i can see you being lucky if they even hint at it since it makes it harder to explain certain things

As for X23, i assume there is no certainty she will make it to X-Force, let alone trying to explain time travel changing stuff or her being born early ass a clone.

its possible the de-age thing isn't actually a de-age effect and its just jackman made up to look abit younger as i think someone said before apocalypse was released that they de-aged him for his scenes but it didn't look like they
had

Its interesting to go full circle with him though from his X1 look to Logan.

Hate to bring up the continuity thing again but where did Deadpool fall in the X-Men universe again? Somewhere before or after the DOFP future? Or was it a different universe?

That movie's supposed to be more or less present day after the soft reboot is in effect.

DOFP (1973) -> Apoc (1983) -> Deadpool (201X) -> DOFP (2023) -> Logan (2029)

Deadpool takes place in present day over a few years, though the years aren't specified.

Got it. So then Deadpool 2 will take place prior to Logan so...

[BLACKOUT]They wouldn't have to address what happened with Professor X until maybe Deadpool 3 and/or X-Force.[/BLACKOUT]

I don't see them addressing it at all personally.
