I have seen Fight Club many times, but never bother to read the book until now.

Just looked it up, Tyler still dies, but the narrator goes to a mental institution where he seems to really enjoy it as he doesn't suffer from his insomnia there and doesn't get an implied happy ending with Marla though he does speak with her over the phone and project mayhem/Fight Club continues unabated.
