this one is apparently different from Gotham City Sirens...Her portrayal as Harley Quinn was a major bright spot in Suicide Squad, as a nurse who loses her soul after falling for the charms of her Joker boyfriend.

I mean, these weren't little mistakes either. For some time, two huge bit of news were confirmed: Ayer is out as well as GCS, and Matt Reeve's Batman won't star Affleck. The updates on those completely changed the conversation.

You wont know till you have seen it. I mean the people who were complaining about Heath Ledger as the Joker are the same people who now think his is the only way to do the character.
