Children of Men it is. so 2 Julianne Moore movies in a row lol

the premise of this sounds very cool, which is why i bought it in the first place. i plan on watching this when i get off work tomorrow night

Do you have maybe a list of ten films or so that you have your eye on that you want to get a consensus on?

originally i was just going to really go random with it, pulling stuff off my shelves, but i have given a few some thought that i'd really like to see

excluding Children of Men:
American Graffiti (it's my brothers fave movie, i should see why he likes it so much)
Crazy Stupid Love (no real reason other than cast)
Edge of Tomorrow
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (i saw the intro of Bye Bye Baby like 10+ years ago and the power cut out due to a storm, so I need to finish it)
King Kong (Fay Wray version- one of my mom's fave films growing up)
La La Land
My Neighbor Totoro
Ninotchka (i want to see all the great films from 1939 eventually)
The Rose

there's a lot of fandom films that i've not seen that are also on the list, but i was trying to go with other things.

many things the same, but i have some on UV that I don't have physical copies of

Definitely put Edge of Tomorrow on the must-watch list, CC.

e-man also recommended Banshee as well. might have to jump that up. the next show i was going to start watching was going to be Iron Fist, but i could probably give Season 1 of Banshee a try first since I have time before Defenders anyways

Banshee is about a million times better than Iron Fist, Luke Cage or Jessica Jones.

Definitely go with Banshee over Iron Fist, lol.

ay caramba... iron fist should be on no ones list

Also Battlestar Galactica if you haven't watched that one yet.

well, i was trying to complete all the Marvel shows. really liked both seasons of DD. Jessica Jones was kinda eh to me. some good parts, some not so bad. Luke Cage was kinda slow too, but i liked the characters on that show a lot better. so natually, IF was going to be next... eventually lol

there are so many movies, shows, books, albums, that i want to experience and just dont have the time that i'd like to for them. i've read 23 books this year so far, and those have been easier for me since i can bring Ebooks on my phone and read them while on break at work, or waiting room at doctors etc. a chapter here or there is a lot more convenient than trying to watch ten minutes of a show or movie here or there. i woudn't enjoy that at all

i have not

*pours out a 40 for the Hype TV Club*

i'm going to bed now yall, but i will definitely check in tomorrow to see if there are any other recommendations for me haha
thanks for all the feedback so far

Yep nowhere near enough time, especially if you add comics and games into the mix. But yes that is a good development for books. I've really got into audiobooks recently too and like listening to them at the same time as reading the book.

I've found audiobooks are a really great way to relax of an evening or whenever the insomnia becomes too rampant.

I remember you listening to Moby Dick one time when we were in Bangladesh. Drunk ass hell.

Yes very relaxing, and I like listening to a performance of the material while I'm reading to bring it alive. Some voice actors/actresses really add a lot to the experience.

Watching Iron Man 3 on FX right now. Damn I love Kingsley in this role so much.

Same. It's two Ben Kingsley performances for the price of one.

"Trevor" has to be my favorite Kingsley performance in the last 10-15 years easily.
