Hmmm...well, Daredevil S2 is an improvement on S1 to me. I can't really speak on Jessica Jones, as I have yet to finish the series. The first few episodes didn't really hold my interest.

As much as I loved Daredevil S2 though, I'm even more hyped about Luke Cage. It's the first Netflix show I'll be binging as soon as it's released.

I saw another positive review on Cheo's twitter this morning. It mentions some tidbits about the show and characters I hadn't read yet, including Misty's superpower-esque abilities. Is it September 30 yet?? :P http://****************.com/tv/marvels-luke-cage-season-1-review/

Will they let Smith finally direct an episode of Daredevil? Just give him one dialogue-heavy episode.

That would be awesome and I bet it'll happen. His dialogue-heavy episode of the Flash was pretty great.

I watched an interview with Simone this morning where they showed a Misty clip. We see her on the basketball court, challenging the boys. Yep, Misty was a ball player...a very good one, apparently. Hopefully they'll release the clip online.

Time had a wonderful article that gets me excited about the show: A bulletproof man hides out in Harlem

It honestly makes me think the show's claims at trying to equal The Wire (something I thought foolish even to say) might hold some water. Either way, I can't wait to see what they do.

I think it's foolish to say that nothing can ever surpass The Wire in terms of perceived quality. Plus, it's still opinion at the end of the day.

Just for me at the end of the day, Luther > The Wire.

Thanks Mike. That was an interesting and thoughtful read and made me even more excited too watch the show.

It's almost here!!!

Nice article, and it makes me look forward to the topics they're going to explore. The only part that was kinda weird:

Simone Missick plays Misty Knight, one of Marvel’s few black female heroes. A by-the-book cop, Misty clashes with vigilante Luke about the best way to dole out justice. While a modern version of Misty could be portrayed as either corrupt or naive, the writers created a character who was more nuanced than that.

When has Misty ever been portrayed in that manner? This plus her comments of her not reading the comics (I can understand for Ali and Woodard not reading any of the appearances of Cottonmouth/Black Mariah, but Misty has never been written in an 'unrealistic' or extremely 'comic-y' fashion) kinda dulls my hype a little. Hope she's not going to be a Misty in-name only. :csad:

Dope. Can't wait to see how they showcase his Seagate days.

Could you host the images rather than hotlinking them? Aside from good courtesy, we'd be able to see that third one.
