Mad Max outback beat cop. 2 hours of officer Max Rockatansky sitting in a car on the side of a highway with a speed gun.

Just judging from the trailer alone I would have said re-make, but we'll see I guess.

I dunno. This seems to be after the death of his family. He is the "shell of a man" we saw in Road Warrior. But it's not a remake of any of those original stories.

I got a pass to see this Wednesday but can't. :waa:

FYI the age limit was wrong, pass states ages 13-54 allowed.

Found this.

I don't understand how anyone could find the music unfitting. Maybe I am Imagining it as i have only watched the trailer twice but isn't the song comprised of sound bytes of each scene being looped over and glitched to make a full song?

The trailer score is only temp music, none of it will be in the actual film.

Also, Warner originally stopped Miller from shooting the ending of this film until they saw what he had shot, they loved what they saw so they approved the ending which was shot in Sydney.

I think the trailer score is really powerful and mood setting.

Agreed. The song at the beginning and beat for the rest of the trailer are perfect. It's honestly a really well done trailer that you could create a 1 minute teaser out of.

The cinematography looks ridiculously beautiful!

I find it really odd that his late son has been changed to a daughter instead. That seems so pointless to me.

That opening shot with the panning down on the mutated lizard and then watching him go just to be stamped by Max is soooo neat.

Maybe they want Max to see his wife and daughter in Furiosa and her group?

yeah i think this was the reason why they changed it.

I get the feeling that George Miller also wants to frame Max as a legend passed down to the ages. The Road Warrior is framed as part of a narrated story. All legends have inconsistencies and different interpretations.

Or like "the man with no name" where Clint Eastwood is arguably playing 3 different characters, yet the same character all the same.

Just noticed that 54 seconds into the trailer, when Furiosa says "let's go", Max is sitting next to her holding a gun on her with his muzzle still on.
