The thing with Hardy is that he's a character actor but with the potential to be a magnetic leading man.

Totally agree. He's a character actor and honestly I think he prefers being a character actor but he has a very imposing and magnetic screen presence.

I don't really think he's a leading man type personality wise though. He's eccentric and doesn't like interviews or publicity.

Idk, personally I supported Leto, though Fass was good too.

Hardy in Bronson is like one of the most awesome performances of the 2000s though. It's so just balls out and you can tell how much he poured into it. Especially given how he tends to play these stoic quieter guys, so being so wild and crazy in Bronson was a big display of his range.

Totally agree. After watching that movie, I remember telling my friends, "Tom Hardy is Daniel Day Lewis good."

The first cover is one of those overly airbrushed ones that makes the person look like an alien.

On the other hand, I kind of can't stop staring at the headshot. Sexy beast.

I have a version of this film in my head now that stars Blanchet instead of Theron..

Someone who saw an early verion of the film said that MAX is a mute and doesn't speak a word in the film.

Not to sure if I would be happy with this.

I don't know where you read that rumor from but Tom has minimum dialog. You can even hear he speak in the trailers. He's a man if a few words but not a mute.

Yeah, the script in general is very minimalistic from reports, not not to the point of having the lead not speak at all.

Miller said he has somewhere around the 16 lines Gibson had in Road Warrior.

Also multiple people from screenings have mentioned his voice.

Maybe Im crazy, but Tom Hardy for any future Fallout movie! For whatever reason, thats the first thought that popped into my head when I saw that cover.

Oh and I can not wait for this film! Finally got ro see the new trailer on a BigD screen and :wow:.

It would be a little redundant since they're in the same genre, a very specific genre.

It's funny, I never noticed how little he spoke in that film. It seemed like he had plenty of dialogue.

Based on the jump from Mad Max to Road Warrior, you can say that Max is so traumatized that he became this introverted character, but in my eyes, I think George Miller pulled a 'soft reboot' when he did The Road Warrior.

Yea, the world in Road Warrior seems a lot different from the first movie.

Yeah, when I finally got around to watching the movies, I was surprised at how relatively normal the environment of the first one is compared to later on.

The Road Warrior works well as a sequel. There is very clear logic in the transition between the two films. Namely the passage of time and how farther out Max continues to go.

Fury Road might be my second most anticipated film of the year (after SW). Looks visually stunning.
