Ok so the reviews are great and it's officially the best reviewed summer release so far.

Why did the internet doubt Dr. Miller again?

yes I’m still mad about JUSTICE LEAGUE: MORTAL.

The internet doubts everything. Suicide Squad could be a masterpiece and we'd still have people complaining about Joker's tattoos.

Now this is some bs.

Why can't they be happy for a bunch of females kicking ass? Charlize is the true star of the film. Damn when we do get an awesome women lead flick and damned when we don't. I'm all for more female directors, but don't be salty whne a man does a great female flick. Hold me, Joss.

Gonna sit down and read 45 reviews of Mad Max. *NOT*

Watch every movie hire a female consultant now instead of a female director...because Mad Max. Sigh.

This. This is why sexism exists. Thanks for once again proving stereotypes right Ms. Alexander. Good grief.

io9 has an article on the old cheapo Mad Max rip offs.

There was a number of rubbish cash in knock off Mad Max films in the eighties.

Beyonce as Aunty Entity in the sequel j/k

The average rating is really telling. So far, these aren't borderline positive reviews, they're raving.

Which is why RT has always been a flawed system because the only positives they count are the raving reviews.

You guys hate the critics when they don't all love Avengers, but when they love Mad Max, you love them.

The hell are you on about with your broad assumptions?

I hated The Avengers to the point that I haven't watched a Marvel Studios release since.

I've been looking forward to this movie for decades. Longer than some posters here have even been alive.

Just saying RT is broken as hell. Then again I don't give a **** about critics. My opinion is all that matters and I knew this would be up my alley the minute I heard George Miller was finally making it.

I saw the film last week at an advanced screening. It's total madness haha. A lot of fun! Not going to spoil anything, but what I loved (besides all the costumes and makeup and every tiny detail of design) was the fact that even the supporting characters each had their moment to shine. Can't wait to see it again!

The 9.3/10 is more impressive than the 100%, imo.

Yeah, absolutely insane. This isn't merely getting positive reviews, it's getting RAVE reviews! I had absolutely no interest in this film and have never seen any of the other Mad Max films but when you see reviews like this it certainly peaks my interest.

A bunch of folks who have yet to see The Road Warrior.. makes my heart hurt. You bastards.

I would also caution, you don't need to see this film in 3D. In fact, I'd advise against it. I think the gloomy shade of the 3D glasses will hinder the detail of everything you're watching on the screen. I didn't see it in 3D, but I've seen enough 3D films to know (I'm sure you have too, obviously lol).

Unfortunately, 3D is my only option. Pisses me off.

I don't bother with watching Anything in 3D anyway, I'd rather see beautiful IMAX and high definition over blurry hazy 3D anyday. IMO, 3D is still just a gimic, just like the "3d" TV fad that seems to have come and gone.

Honestly, The Road Warrior is all you really need to see.

Hmm... I don't know. I recommend watching Mad Max and then the Road Warrior. This way you get Max's origin. To my Beyond the Thunderdome is the one that you can miss. That movie was not that good up until the last 20 to 30 mins or so and even then it was almost like a repeat of Road Warrior for the last chase scene.

Assuming we are the same people and you are the lone different one. I was right there calling Avengers Ultron's BS right there with the rest of them....not that any of it matters.
