The price has been my fear from the start. I wish they had released this in March. But alas, hopefully its quality wins out.

Then it would've had to deal with Furious 7, Get Hard, Home, etc. All which arguably have broader appeal on paper than Mad Max.

I just got done having a conversation without someone who hates playing games with female leads. Wasn't going to buy the new Assassins' Creed if it had a female lead. Yeah, this sadly isn't as unusual as you'd like.
Lol...don't forget, he also hates seeing women in lead film roles as well.

Certainly wasn't expected this much praise. Think I might have to go see this now.

I am talking the start of March.

But it is alright, he likes women otherwise. He is only sexist when it comes to games and movies.

Why did I go looking for this in that thread?

Snow, you weren't going to see this? I thought I knew you.

It didn't look quite my thing in the trailers, to be honest. They were well made trailers and I didn't think it looked bad, but just not really my thing. However, having heard some things now, I'm starting to think otherwise.

So, are the others worth watching then?

No, I get it. Awesome isn't your thing. And don't use those Jena Malone tears on me, they won't work. Well, maybe a little. :o

From all indications, you can go into this movie without a lick of knowledge of the first 3. Might work out better that way. The first is very low budget, but it has its qualities. The third wasn't directed by Miller, and it shows. The Road Warrior is a true classic and basically the inspiration for the entire post-apocalypse genre.

It's a place holder until I can get Emma Watson, Kiera Knightly and Daisy Ridley crying together. :o

I see. Well perhaps I'll try them after and just go in with an empty slate then.

After seeing this, nothing else coming out this summer matters. That's how good I thought it was. :woot:

Good to hear. :woot: Though I don't think anything after June looks particularly interesting so that won't be hard. :oldrazz:

Cheater. :o

Never trust a guy who likes that new Joker design. That is what my momma told me.

It does. May/June has most of the interesting stuff, then all I can think of are Ant-Man and Fantastic Four for major films.
Yeah, and my interest in those at this point is mild at best.

Back to 98% after I think the New York Post misposted his rotten/fresh rating. It did seem weird given the blurb.

2015 does seem a bit barren after so many films have moved around. Still, looking forward to some dinosaur mayhem.

JWorld is in June, but we were talking about after that. I just remembered M:I-5, though. I do want to see that, and Man from U.N.C.L.E...maybe for slightly different reasons. ;)

Can't imagine what reasons that would be for. :o

Technically he is listed as a co-director on Beyond Thunderdome. It has its moments, but def agreed. By far worst of the series,
