Of course the GOP refused. They wanted to take advantage of it. The modern GOP never wants to get rid of an advantage. Even if that advantage is a foreign government compromising our elections and weakening and threatening the country. If this modern GOP existed in the 30s and 40s they would have sold this country to the Nazis if Hitler promised them that they would be left in power under the Nazis. Thats how ****ed up their moral compass is.

I love how the GOP are going to change the rules and use the nuclear option to get their SCOTUS pick they want. All while crying crocodile tears about Dems not respecting the institution and giving him an up or down vote.

Where was the freaking concern about institutions over a year ago when Obama nominated Garland and they refused to respect the institution?

The Dems should have sued right then and took it to the SCOTUS. The GOP aren't governing in good faith. They stole one of (if not THE) greatest powers of the executive in a partisan, fascist coup of the executive. Should have been unconstitutional and a violation of the separation of powers. All nominees deserve a vote. Don't like them ,then don't vote for them. But don't refuse to do your job and break your oath of office.

The "party over country" label they get is not to be taken lightly. They've literally been a hivemind since the Reagan era. You'll never see a member voting against any of their bills, and if they do it's because they want to "look good" because they're up for state reelection, not because they have any actual good intentions.

The GOP only cares about the institution when it suits them which is to say its just something they talk about to get votes. They dont give a **** about the institution. Same with things in general. They rail against big government then want to tell a woman what she can and cant do with her own uterus or want to arrest a sick person for treating their pain with a plant. They rail about government healthcare and then turn around and benefit from their own premium government health care. They rail about our troops suffering and then spend trillions on a new jet or repeated investigations into benghazi instead of spending it on healthcare and basic equipment for the troops.

So, Trump is attacking the Freedom Caucus again. I'm assuming his efforts to retry at healthcare are going as good as the first time.

he attacked the freedom caucus *and* the democrats. i'm not sure how he thinks he can get anything done without either, but i suppose he didn't think beyond the flash of morning anger that brought about the tweet

So, apparently three sources were cited for what President George W. Bush thought about the inaugration speech Donald Trump gave. I believe it was what he said right after it was given, too.

W. said, quote, "That was some weird s***."

Welp!

"White House Officials Helped Give Nunes Intelligence Reports"

ON — A pair of White House officials played a role in providing Representative Devin Nunes of California, the Republican chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, with the intelligence reports that showed President Trump and his associates were incidentally swept up in foreign surveillance by American spy agencies.

The revelation that White House officials assisted in the disclosure of the intelligence reports — which Mr. Nunes then discussed with President Trump — is likely to fuel criticism that the intelligence chairman has been too eager to do the bidding of the Trump administration while his committee is supposed to be conducting an independent investigation of Russia’s meddling in the last presidential election.

Mr. Nunes has also been faulted by his congressional colleagues for sharing the information with President Trump before consulting with other members of the intelligence committee.

That Cohen-Watnick guy is apparently one of the guys Trump overruled McMaster on removing. So, yeah, a Trump stooge. That was brought in by Flynn.

So not only did Trump lie about being Wiretapped..... he's now tried to manufacture evidence to prove that he was Wiretapped?

****ing hell...

I think the evidence is true. It just isn't what he claims it was.

You mean the evidence that only Nunes has seen and won't tell anyone else about?

Holy... Flynn is testifying in exchange for immunity according to WSJ. The dam starting to break maybe?

They better get that testimony quickly.... before he trips out a high window or has a bullet induced heart attack.... or repeatedly falls onto a knife.

What does Flynn know that has him getting that deal?

Flynn is about to snatch Trump's wig.

And the key is it is for immunity. So clearly, something is rotten.

HOLY ****. Things are about to get real.

What does Flynn know that has him getting that deal?

Could be lots. He was there through the campaign and was installed in an official capacity before his ouster. Spicer on Fri. morning is going to have it really rough.

Oh, if he thought the Press Corp was rough before, there is blood in the water now...

It's going to be really spicy for Spicy tomorrow....

The fact that Flynn is getting immunity means that he's got something huge... I really hope they've got him secured & testifying already... honestly can see him being killed in the next week or so.

Honestly, the whole kidnap someone for Turkey was going to get him prison time anyway.

"It's perfectly normal for a former national security adviser to make a deal like that. Perfectly normal. Happens all the time. And I think the dems should be ashamed of themselves for trying to insist otherwise. No-- Don't shake your head at me! Don't! I know these things! I-- *craps pants* Excuse me for a moment."
