Has for the martain manhunter-
Powers and abilities
The Martian Manhunter possesses a wide variety of superhuman powers—
including telepathy, shape-shifting, projecting energy, x-ray vision,
phasing, invisibility, flight, and super strength— but his abilities
have been shown inconsistently throughout the years.

In the current DC continuity, many of his powers are similar to those
of Superman, including superhuman strength close to that of Superman,
flight, invulnerability, vortex breath, and "Martian Vision" (a term
designating both the ability to see through solid objects and the
ability to project beams of energy from his eyes). Superman once said
of the Manhunter, "He is the most powerful being on the face of the
Earth".

So green lanterns have proven they could be one of the most powerful
beings in the DC universe.

A green lantern could protect himself from superman speed just by
setting the ring on auto.Green lantern's proven to go beyond their
skills too.
That's why a green lantern still wins.

Hal Jordan
Powers and abilities
As a Green Lantern, Jordan is semi-invulnerable, capable of projecting
hard light constructions, flight, and utilizing various other
abilities through his power ring which are only limited by his
imagination and willpower. Jordan as a Green Lantern has exceptional
willpower.

As Parallax, Hal was one of the most powerful beings in all of the DC
Universe. In addition to his normal Green Lantern powers, he was able
to manipulate and reconfigure time-space to his will, had vast super
human strength which he demonstrated by being able to knock out
Superman with one punch, a higher sense of awareness and enhanced
durability. As Parallax he still was able to be harmed nearly just as
easily as a normal Green Lantern but seemed to be able to endure more
physical punishment. While Hal Jordan was Parallax he was never
defeated by physical force, all of his very few defeats were of a
changed mental state during or after the battle, which was usually the
result of dealing with his own conscience and he would just give up,
leave the battle and hide himself.

John Stewart (comics)
Powers and abilities
# Like all Green Lanterns, Stewart's personality affects his ring's
creations, giving them a solid, architectural quality. In Green
Lantern: Rebirth, Hal Jordan remarks that "everything John Stewart
(comics)he builds is solid". He also remarked that Stewart is the best
flyer in the Corps.

Green Lantern: Mosaic
John finally forgave himself for his past mistakes and grew into a
stronger, more complex hero when he became the caretaker of the
"Mosaic World", a patchwork of communities from multiple planets that
had been brought to Oa by an insane Guardian who had invaded John’s
mind. Although bitter and sullen at his assignment at first, he
overcame this and, using his formidable intellect and talent for
unconventional thinking, Stewart forged the Mosaic into a new society
and eventually became the first mortal Guardian of the Universe, known
as the Master Builder. As his reward for this new level of awareness,
John was reunited with his late wife, Katma Tui. However, tragedy
struck once again and Hal Jordan, possessed by Parallax, destroyed
both the Guardians and the Central Power Battery, robbing John of his
newfound powers and his resurrected wife.

# In Green Lantern (vol. 4) #26, it was shown that John's willpower
exceeds the limit of his ring (when he tried to recreate a planet from
scratch), a feat that had not been depicted before this point.

Kyle Rayner
Ion
For a brief period, Rayner achieved godhood as Ion after absorbing the
energy Hal Jordan had left in Earth's Sun during "The Final Night"
storyline, which had merged and grown with energies released after
Oblivion's defeat. With his new powers, Rayner could bend time, space
and reality, allowing himself, for example, to be in many places at
once. The drawback of being one with everything was that Rayner could
no longer sleep or separate himself from the overwhelming
responsibilities these abilities imposed upon him. Rather than
sacrifice his humanity, Rayner abandoned omnipotence, bleeding off the
vast power, recharging the Central Power Battery on the Guardians'
home planet and headquarters, Oa, and helping to create a new group of
Guardians in the process. Before he purged all of the power, though,
he modified his ring and conjured a new Corps uniform to reflect his
new maturity. Once again limited only by his willpower and
imagination, Rayner's ring could still affect yellow, and would always
harbor a lifeline of power without a time limit on its power, and is
keyed directly to him, and would always return to him, though it still
required charging to reach full power.

There is a green lantern with superman like powers of own and his
planet is near or somewhere next to were superman's planet was.

Green lantern Sodam Yat

Sodam Yat is a prophesied future member of the Green Lantern Corps,
created by Alan Moore and is first mentioned in "Tygers", a story in
Tales of the Green Lantern Corps Annual #2. He is mentioned in passing
to Abin Sur by a demon named Qull of the Five Inversions, who had been
imprisoned on the planet Ysmault by the Guardians of the Universe. As
a Daxamite (a race which descended from Kryptonians with inherent
Superman-like powers) with a power ring, he would be nearly
unstoppable.

Powers and abilities
Like their Kryptonian cousins, the Daxamites gain a large number of
abilities when exposed to yellow sunlight including super strength;
flight; super speed; super hearing; X-ray, heat, microscopic, and
telescopic vision; and super breath. While the Daxamites are
invulnerable while under yellow sunlight, the substance lead is still
very lethal to them even in small quantities, as Kryptonite is to
Kryptonians.

Ion powers
The benevolent Ion entity bestows its host with powers similar to a
Green Lantern Corps Power Ring and the Starheart. With those powers,
Sodam Yat has been described by some as the most powerful superhero in
the universe. However, access to the powers can be controlled through
his power ring, which he is required to wear constantly, allowing the
Guardians of the Universe to shut off his Ion powers. In the Legion of
Three Worlds miniseries, it is revealed that being host to the Ion
entity has allowed Sodam to survive, unaging, into the 31st century.

Well green lanterns are not more powerful and how did this get in this thread about the box office? Just for reference for every example you give there are plenty more showing superman way more powerful. And sodam Yat is destroyed by superboy prime as well as tons of green lanterns. In the comics superman prime is the most powerful as stated by DC.

Good weekend for man of steel 11.7 million estimate boxoffice.com

What are the highest grossing reboots domestically speaking?

Would it be that high? I think they had 271 either way it keeps trucking a long which is great

Not really. It would be on-par with what a lot of people were predicting this week if indeed that prediction holds true. About $270-275 million was what a lot of people were predicting.

and to an extent: 4-Superman Returns

Yours truly included. I said $275m so looks like I overpredicted a bit; but hey I'm the resident overpredictor for this movie, and I'll continue to be :woot: Keep hope alive!

Shouldn't Star Trek and Casino Royale be there?

Good. MOS is really a successful film. Now on track for 300m. I remember that 10 days ago there was someone sure of a 270-275m final gross.

Reguarding the GL vs Superman it is like the classic duel Superman Vs Captain Marvel. On paper they could be stronger, but Superman is with Batman the 80% of DC Universe. And the failure of the GL movie proves it.
