Its definitely still on track, barring any major collapse. It should also be noted it will lose its IMAX screens this week.

They are? Well good thing I'm planning on my 7th, and final, showing this week in IMAX 2D. I almost had my fill this last time, but I need to see it one more time on the big screen before I buy the Blu-Ray later in the year.

I tallied up how much I've contributed to the box office. Here are my numbers

$6.00 (Regular 2D) - Opening weekend matinee
$10.50 (IMAX 3D)
$10.50 (IMAX 3D)
$10.50 (IMAX 3D)
$10.50 (IMAX 3D)
$15.00 (IMAX 2D)
Total = $63.00

The last viewing is the most expensive because I saw it while I'm on vacation in West Palm Beach, which is obviously more expensive than Tallahassee.

Pacific Rim is taking over the IMAX screens. Your IMAX 3D showing is about the same price as my regular 2D matinee one.

Not complete country by country breakdowns but the OS total is correct.

Let me guess, you're in San Fran?

Near LA, if I actually lived in LA it would be even more expensive.

Those IMAX 3d Tix look crazy cheap compared to what i'm used to. I'm assuming those are at digital locations? and why is the 2D Imax more expensive?

It's about $15 here in Hollywood

I paid between 11.75 to 13.75 all in 2D. 9 times at the Grove in L.A. and one viewing at an AMC in Woodland Hills. That's at least $120-130. It's pretty pricey here in L.A.!

Normally once a movie is out in theaters then the TV ads stop by that point but with MOS already going into a 4th week I still see more TV ads, it's good to see WB actually caring and pushing more people into the theaters despite it's flaws.

The only MOS commercial I'm still seeing is the Hardees commerical with the construction crew. I haven't seen a regular MOS ad in awhile...

thanks.

Box Office Mojo lists the Foreign total as $315,600,000. Is that accurate?

Yeap. They update each country pretty randomly if at all, but the entire total is accurate.

Yeah, I didn't realize it until I saw the viewing today that there was a real difference between IMAX screens. But yes, all the ones in Tallahassee had the DLP logo before the screening while the one today did not have that, and the screen was noticeably larger, and the screen seemed more detailed (although maybe this was just my mind).

The IMAX 3D here in West Palm Beach was $1 more than the IMAX 2D that I saw (so $16 vs $15).

Now I have a tough choice whether to go back to the IMAX 2D for my final showing, or give a true-IMAX 3D a shot and see if it actually enhances the experience..hmmm

We need to introduce you to women. LOL

30 second spots were playing all weekend as late as late yesterday evening, at least on the Bravo channel via Comcast in the south Florida area. I was pleasantly surprised.
Good to see they still have confidence this movie is still worth spending money on four weeks + in...

Crazy prices, man. I've seen it 6 times, paid for 5 of them since my 3rd viewing the dude let me in for free, haha.

Wal-Mart premier: $8.00
Mid-night showing: $9.00
3rd time: FREE
4th time: 3D; $11.50
5th time: Drive-in; $8.00
6th time: 3 tickets for matinee (paid for parents); $16.50
----
$53.00 from me to the BO.

I wouldve liked to try a 2d Imax but all they ever had was Sat afternoon for the first couple weekends. Finally saw it a 2nd time, dont know if the digital 3D distracted me the first time or if 2D was just better but I definitely enjoyed it more the second time. About 100 or so people on a Sunday night in a smallish theater, got a great reaction. Thinking of trying to fit in an IMAX 3D before it gets pulled.

And Americans complain about ticket prices (assuming you're in the US, of course)? A average 2D ticket here in Adelaide, Australia is $18.00. I've seen it twice, and took two other people with me the first time (one was my nephew, so kids price which was... I think $10.00?). So about $64.00 all up.

I have no idea what a 3D ticket is, I refuse to watch a movie in 3D. But it can't be good.

If PR tanks quickly,
What happens to all those IMAX screens ?

Yeah 3d ticket prices are around $22, we get robbed over here

Out here that's the Carl's JR commercial, and it is played relentlessly, which is obviously very good for the movie's BO.
