I heard the legends of this Tobias...*Puts pipe in his mouth*...used to come around these parts spouting some nonsense about MOSs failure. We couldn't see it at the time, but he could. Boy could he. We saw a success in the opening weekend, but the minor flaws, to us, spoke loudly in his heart and he knew doom was on the horizon. It broke $200 million domestic, but he said it was not enough. It hit $500 million worldwide, but he insisted Snyder and Goyer would be given the boot. We saw a glimmer of hope that it would reach $300 million domestic, but Tobias was writing letters to WB. Then, when the announcement of Snyder and Cavill at SDCC was made, we knew a sequel was within our grasp. We called Tobias a fool and smiled with delight.

...But the day of their appearance at SDCC arrived...and it was not to announce a sequel. Oh no...*sheds a tear*...It was the public execution of Snyder and a confused Goyer we didn't know would be there. We were wrong. WB was more than devastated by the MOS BO. It was a failure. We were wrong...but Tobias was right. So right that WB execs, who read his many letters, hired him to write a reboot...a reboot he had written a thousand times in his fan fiction.

I have heard the legend of Tobias, who comes like a thief in the night. I have heard the legends...and I will learn from them.

This is the new campfire story, lmao. Or better yet:

'How the Tobias stole the Box-Office.'

"I must stop the sequel from coming!..........But how?"

Very easy to get rid of Tobias.

When there is a drop off in box office numbers, he'll be the first one to show up, putting down the numbers and MOS in the process.

He'll then post his "predictions" which somehow always seem to exceed the actual current box office projections/numbers. In other words, his predictions are always rising, so that they can always be above the current projections/numbers, and also so he can have bate in putting down the box office numbers of MOS.

To get rid of him however, all you have to do is quote one of his earlier lower predictions, when he posts his current higher predictions. This is a perfect example in this case (Props to Migu-EL on this one);

Notice that we have not heard from him since? Lol...

Don't forget, Tobias is a massive Superman Fan, so as he always mentions, do not forget to read his fan stories at www.fanfiction.net/‎

Around Monday his latest (in a long line of predictions) of $285 million will fall so he'll be scarce around these parts for a while. However, If MOS looks like it is struggling to get that last $5 million or so to cross the $300 million mark, he'll suddenly return to proclaim that he was right all along. Unfortunately for him, although it may take a while, it will IMO get to $300 million, so his moment in the sun yanking our chains once again will be short lived.

I'm hoping that at some point WB get MOS back in IMAX theaters for a week or so, as I didn't get to see it in that format.

For all the 'negativity and personal attacks Tobias is getting' his prediction of 285M is still closer than 90% of the prediction here. Even if MOS reaches 300M, it's still within 5% accuracy.

I get it that he's negative about MOS, but everyone' entitled to their own opinions. And there's no need to put down his predctions.. he's been pretty consistent on that one at least and quite accurate i may add... :oldrazz:

My own prediction of 1 B is way off... :csad:

Guys, the bottom line is the MOS kicked ARSE. All the detractors can shove it where the light doesn't shine! No critic Kryptonite is stopping him.

YEAH!!

Tobias isn't correct or accurate. He constantly modifies his prediction based on how the BO is doing. Plus he acts like he knows what WB is thinking and what they expected out of this movie. He has downplayed this movie from day one and is determined to make it seem like MOS is a failure. If he was so accurate people would not be aggravated with him.

As I've said before, he's a wind-up merchant...and not a very good one.

He's enjoying all the reaction and attention we're feeding him.

His prediction wasnt $285. His prediction was much lower. He said $285 was the max it would make after it had already crossed $275. It was just trolling.

Wasn't Tobias the guy who wanted the heirs to get back the rights to Superman, so that there would be no more Superman films and he didn't want the character in a Justice League film?

I feel we need posters like him. It makes things interesting around here.:cwink:

Also I think he said everything that can be done with Superman has been done with the Donner films and SR, and that MOS was unnecessary.

I wonder how he's going to respond to all this. I'm just sitting here waiting for a rebuttal.

That's the problem with Tobias. He never gives that great of a rebuttal and rarely responds to his tougher critics. Instead, he responds to those who agree with him. And those responses he's probably given a thousand times. He's a broken record that I don't find too interesting. What's more interesting is how people respond to him.

Exactly. I enjoy the posters that get into a tizzy because of him.

I agree with this:word: I've responded to him just to offer my thoughts, but I don't stone the guy. He's actually pretty fun, consistent (but...isn't..if that makes any sense) and brings a sense to the board that gets people's undies in a knot. Though it's obvious he seemed to always spit on Man of Steel and set the tone a LONG time ago and had every intention to, he hasn't attacked anybody in the process, which makes for interesting debate and sometimes wishy-washy debate.. LOL.
