Ok so word is that the LA Times is reporting that WB is going to announce a World's Finest movie set to open 2015. That is officially from WB to the LA Times and it will be announced today at Comic Con

Well that certainly makes more sense than a JL movie for 2015. Perhaps it'll be called MOS 2: World's Finest. Although they may not use 2 in the title. Just Man Of Steel: World's Finest.

If the WF rumor is true,I say despite what he said Bale will reprise the role of TDK. He'll get a nice upfront fee and points on the back end. Money talks just ask RDJ.

Room enough for both of them. 2015 can be a year for the ages.

Yes, my dream is coming true!

To those who know, is it not possible to have these tie in movies premier close together? MOS 2 in May and WF in July or August? Or in the case of Marvel have Thor released closer to Ironman 3? Is that counter productive to what a movie studio wants?

Sure. Pacific Rim and MOS premiered close together and both were big blockbusters from WB. Still, if they did want to release two CBMs in 2015' they'd probably be summer and winter releases.

I guess a WF announcement could also give a bit of a boost to MOS's BO, too.

Pacific Rim had nothing to do with MOS. I'm not talking about 2 potential blockbusters but 2 CBM's from the same company being released close together or back to back. I would think audiences would be pleased and would go see all the movies if for example Iron Man 3 was released one week, then 2 wks later Thor, and 2 wks after that The Avengers 2.

If they were smart they would have enacted on this tactic earlier(while they still had the screens).
Marvel knows the way.

RDJ got 50M if I remember correctly, do you think Bale would get that kind of money?

I really hope it's Bale as Bats. His grounded view of the world juxtaposed against Supes will be a sight to see.

WF movie is the Justice League's only hope. And they also need Flash in the mix somewhere. Surprised they haven't started on that yet.

World Finest is a great way for WB to crank up anticipation for Justice League to the max.

What's the latest on the figures?

I agree - Bale behind the mask would make so much money - the plot holes of what happened after TDKR could take around 20 minutes to answer - mean, i could have a stab and i'm not even a writer.

Wayne Ind will get money back (after all, it was stolen - via Bane), reputation will be ok for a company that large.

Lexcorp may even merge in some way - like a sister company. Wayne Ind has Brother Eye or a prototype and lex wants in on it now Superman is around.

Bruce can make a statement that he went into hiding through fear and laid low after the attacks. Now he is back, legalities fixed - blah blah.

Batman can be more about stealth, shadows and detective skills. Rather than beat his way out of a situation, he uses his intellect.

I feel a rebooted batman, people will no doubt pay to see, but in a WF will they have time to do an introduction justice. Hence Bale is the answer. They can do a 3 picture deal for next ten years which will see out the contracts along with Cavil and everyone else.

If Bale were Batman, and he won't be, he'd be a different Batman.

Money buys everything and this will play into Supe's world. If Hollywood is about making money, then Bale would be a ****ing LUNATIC to not come back for this. WF's is going to be absolutley humungous. Don't expect Bale, but at the same time, the mind wanders....

So if Bale doesn't reprise the role, it would be a different Batman from Nolan's universe. Do they have to explain his origin at all or just go on with it?
