this is not mos2 its a smoke screen to make worlds finest! wb has everyone dupped thinkin this is a mos sequel how much you want to bet batman is in the movie more than superman.i wanted a straight up mos sequel first but wb is going for a team up thinkin it will make more money this is worlds finest not mos2!

If they are smart they can knock out their batman reboot in this move. I personally don't mind as along as they get back to proper solos. It's not like anyone is complaining about avengers ruining thor two, if anything more people seem to give two craps about both the thor and cap proper sequels(which did come).

One has to respect this as a solid compromise. The shareholders not only want their JLA movie and now(same with the fans), but Snyder and even Cavill have said there needs to be some sort of set up universe building. I think this is a solid second step. Heck, I'd even take that dumb Spacey lex if it was in the face of a proper batman.

I'm actually think WB should make a Flash/Lantern film instead of solos.
You can get solid characters out of an ensemble film, you just need to do it right. See the early xmen films and Xmen first class.

I suppose if it made ASM money people think WB would be more confident...

Sarcasm aside, WB needs something superhigh profile to deal with what disney is putting out in two years, star wars and avengers. Unlike Marvel WB/DC can use any weapon they please, what kinda idiot executive would turn down this idea?

Sadly yes. It seems to me WB was unrealistically expecting a 800 million dollar gross.
Or maybe it's not even that, maybe the mixed reviews had them hesitant on doing another fully Superman & Superman only film.

I'm thinking option 2 is the case.

I think option2 as well so they said hell lets go with worlds finest we want to relaunch batman anyway.also I don't think mos will be in the title it will be worlds finest or batman and superman or batman vs superman

A strong financial year means more people invest in your company as opposed to the competition. WB just gave themselves an ace in the hole in spite of Disney's full house that summer.

Worlds finest could very well make avengers money. At this point I'd personally have to see trailers and release dates before I could predict which of the 3 big films will end up on top.

I'm of the camp that believes that a Batman/Superman team up was the plan all along. I don't think this is in response to the BO of MOS. As much as WB wants a JL movie, this is a much smarter move. Just make sure we keep getting our solo movies.

Except they're using the same people who made the movie with the mixed reviews for this. Which I am fairly certain is going to result in another movie with mixed reviews or worse. I think they don't care about making a good movie and just want their money.
