Yeah, I'm guessing he didn't have much to say because it seems like it would be all over here (or somewhere) by now!

I finally saw Scott Pilgrim today. There's no doubt in my mind...

BRANDON MUST PLAY SUPES AGAIN. :awesome:

I'm working on a few manips so does anyone have the picture of Routh as Superman facing forward with his arms crossed? Thanks.

AGREED! :woot: He got LOTS of rave reviews for his perfomance as Evil Ex Todd Ingram. Most said he was one of the highlights in the film, which got mostly great reviews as well.

Clint Eastwood Could Have Been Superman And James Bond

"Eastwood also reveals that he was offered James Bond after Connery left. That, aside from his lack of a British accent, actually could have worked. But Superman? No way. We’ve been lucky with our Supermen. It could have been bad, really bad. Why risk disaster by recasting? Just stick with Brandon Routh."

Also, Chuck season 3 DVD is out now. Here is the gag reel :woot:

Iris put up some unreleased shots:

i telling u, clint is right! but i'm afraid brandon would be too old when WB finally roll the wheel for another superman movie.

I went to see Scott Pilgrim on Thursday and BR was easily the best of the evil x's. That scene where he was floating with his eyes lit up was awesome really made me wish we'd have seen something like that in SRs (but with his eyes lit red). Routh should be Superman again.

when did this pic come out?
this should have been the first ever costume picture.

damn idiots at WB.

but it still proves the tight neckline was a disgrace.

Routh deserved better than that.

This should have been the first promo for the movie..

It is one of a very limited number of shots which make both actor & surprisingly the suit look good.

Colors look better/more in tone with the picture as well. The shadows mean hes in a darker setting therefore the colors of the suit should look darker.. however then in an opposite of this picture in brightness the colors should be far brighter & cleaner.

Very nice shot none the less, one of my favourites from the promo reel.

I hope they get routh back as supes. When I see him I instantly see superman now. No matter what else he does I still see him on screen and am like hey it's freaking superman.
The rest of his career will be shadowed by him recognized as superman so he should at least get to be in another one.

I agree that he makes an excellent Superman, But I know of some people who knew Brandon played Superman in SR but didn't recongnize him in Scott Pilgrim. They were actually shocked when they learned that the Vegan was played by Brandon. And you know, I have to agree with that; he was/felt like a totally different person, imo.

Routh's looks have matured and now is looks somewhat different than he did in SR, still he is the only person that makes you think about Superman whenever and wherever he goes.

In my country, whenever I mention that WB are looking for a new Superman actor many people say - What ? Why is that Superman dude from 2006 movie (SR) not coming back ?

Many people over here think that he is right person to play Supes again and are quite puzzled by what WB are thinking.

When I saw him in Scott pilgrim I thought damn superman looks like he put on weight. I didn't know he was gonna be in it. I hadn't followed the cast prior to seeing the movie so I was surprised. His face still has the superman look and his voice still sounds like reeves superman. Which now thinking about it he was probably cast because he resembled reeves and sounds like him too. SR was a followup to the old superman movie so routh is more In keeping with donnors vision and the superman of old. I guess now they want a new version so they want to break away from Donnor and reeves. It is too bad though routh seems to have gotten the short end here. I mean Nolan didn't cast batman to resemble west or Keaton. It would take some doing to make sure people know this superman is different than SR. Casting routh again might be a battle they don't want to mess with. Like I said it's a shame for routh he is superman to me. At least we can still make mashup vids and Manips.

Routh looks more like Superman now than he did in SR. In fact he looked less like Superman in SR than he has/had in anything I've seen him in before or since.

I hope he puts up a fight at least to get another shot at Superman. Why go through another casting call if he's still interested in doing it?

If Routh wants it for me they should just bring him back. Plus the majority of fans want him back aswell.

ya! damnit. even that awful ghostrider is getting a sequal. this is so frustrating!

I really hope Nolan and co. keep an open mind and don't automatically dismiss the idea of bringing Routh back. I mean if they are going to recast just for the sake of recasting and get someone in who will basically play the same role as Routh did then I wouldn't be impressed at all. But if they are going in a different direction in terms of portrayal then that's fair enough I suppose.

Right now I'd saying the chances of Routh playing Superman again are zero, which is a bloody crying shame IMHO.

I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in.

I really like Superman Returns. It definitely had its flaws. But one thing is for damn_certain! The love Bryan Singer feels for the character is up there on screen! Never before has superman been taken that seriously, and portrayed that beautiful. I think it's a shame that Singer didn't get his sequel green-lit! We got a fantastic Four sequel. Now, we're even getting a Ghost Rider sequel! Jeez...

I loved Brandon as Superman. He did an amazing job at portraying the character. I would have loved to see him play out the geek part of Clark even more though. Which is why I find Reeves CK more charming. But it's not even Rouths fault; it was the way he was directed by Singer. I can appreciate what they were going for. But I still prefer Donners vision on Clark, which was full blown out geek to the core! I loved that. But all in all, Routh was amazing, and I was proud to see him play Superman. I sure hope he gets another chance.

I KNOW I'm propably gonna get kicked in the face for this one! But a huge part of me really wanna see Tom Welling play Superman as well... sorry guys.

 nice post

My choices for Superman are:

Routh, Welling or Malambri, either of those 3 and I'll be happy
