The Amazing Spider-Man Marc Webb to return?

Introducing the black suit in WSM, and possibly following that up with some kind of Future Foundation suit, or maybe an Oscorp suit based off the design (if he gets Harry to take Oscorp over), or maybe a Big Time Suit in one of the following WSM movies.

Then he'd develop the Sinister Six suit in SSM3 and face the battle of a lifetime. :P

How could they use the Future Foundation suit if the Fantastic Four are not allowed in a Sony film?

What if they decide to continue the franchise for much longer than just an initial 'origin trilogy'?

What if they had trilogy sagas, so it could be like..

The Amazing Spider-Man: The Origin Saga
ASM
ASM2
ASM3
The Web of Spider-Man: The Venom Saga
WSM
WSM2
WSM3
The Spectacular Spider-Man: Tale of the Sinister Six
SSM
SSM2
SSM3

with director changes and actor changes as needed, and possibly with the sagas having more than 3 movies..

Well, let's take into consideration that the actors will get older, and more expensive. So that is almost an impossibility to happen.

There would be a different cast for each trilogy, so that wouldn't have anything to do with it.

I don't think using the suit will have any effect on Sony not owning Fantastic Four.
True. But unless Spider-Man is actually in the Future Foundation, what would be the purpose of using the FF costume?

He said "some kind of Future Foundation suit" though. Some kind of black and white suit for some reason. While I don't know what exactly, I could see Peter creating different suits for different occasions.

But would the story still be the same?
I have a hard time imagining the people at Sony changing the cast without restarting the story.

Like when he deals with Electro, he makes an electric proof suit in the comics.

The story would be resolved (The parents storyline), but the next trilogy would begin a new story arc.

Did you like.. ignore the part where I said 'with director and actor changes as needed'

people need to read the full post.

Yeah because that WOULDN'T suck

Well it says something about marvel i guess where they've already been able to secure joss whedon for a sequel to the avengers when that film doesn't even have a release date yet.

true we dont have a answer from webb yet and a may 2014 release date looming.if he does the fox film next they will be scrambling to get a new director they wont have much time.this sequel has to be shooting by jan 2013 to allow for post production.

I say push it back to 2015

Man i hope you are Wrong but if they really push it for 2015 ehhem Avengers 2
how about nov 2015 stay away from avengers2? thor 2 is getting released nov 2013 i think a comicbook movie can sell in the winter.why do all superhero flicks be in the summer winter between thankdgiving and xmas has had many blockbusters.movies that make money during that time frame the hobbit movies-the bond films etc.

If Webb is out then yes...push it back to 2015...otherwise it will suck because it will be rushed.

X3 is another good example of a rush job where the studio forces the creative team to meet a set deadline the other creative team had before they left.

If we're comparing TAS-M to Iron Man's situation then....holy crap. TAS-M wasn't as great as Iron Man, so TAS-M 2 could be worse than Iron Man 2 even

exactly. And now they are not in a hurry because their movie rights aren't expiring soon, they might as well push it to 2015

agreed better than a rush job go for the winter release if they that scarred of avengers2

I think if they push it back they'll push it to July again, giving it a couple more months. I don't see them pushing it back to 2015....unless Webb doesn't come back and they still dont have a director by the time their meant to be filming.

Still, I hope Webb comes back. He did a good job on ASM, so ASM2 will hopefully be even better.

edit: what I also don't...er...quite get is....surely Webb knew this was coming if he already had an obligation to Fox even before he signed on to ASM, not that they'd blackmail him, but that there would be a clash, which makes me think he already made up his mind when he signed on to ASM, but now Fox have upped the ante, isn't sure. Fox should just let him do the ASM series, it'll only work in their favor more having one a name of one of the biggest CBM franchises attached to their movies.

If Webb doesn't come back, and they don't find a director within the next few months, then I do think the movie should be pushed back to early 2015 or so.

i agree i would rather wait a few months than get a rushed job

No one was even comparing it to Iron Man.

And I disagree with your opinion.

Agreed. However, if they get a new director very quickly or Marc Webb returns, then the May 2014 date should be fine. However, if its pushed back to June or July I would be fine with it.
