Costumes rarely have anything to do with the final product of a film. Look at Spider-Man 3 and The Dark Knight. Spider-Man 3=Great suit, poor movie. The Dark Knight=Poor suit, great movie.

Spider-Man 3=Great suit, poor movie. The Dark Knight=Poor suit, great movie. And Amazing Spider man= Poor suit, great movie!

If the movie is good, I can forgive the suit. If the movie is bad, REBOOT and RESUIT!

i predict the people who complained about the suit will change their mind after they saw the trailer, i just want fans to appreciate creative efforts instead of hating and bashing every nitpicking.

i actually prefer the look of the new suit...its a fresh take on the classic...still maintains the classic look though and the slimmer spidey is also a + as well...i just like it more...idk why

i know the silver boots are pretty dumb but not as dumb as silver on the whole dang costume like the last series imo

Silver wasn't the problem with the webbing, the fat, rubber look is what bugged me. I actually LIKED the silver webbing, just not the look of it.

The costume is really cool, but it's not on par with Riami's costume, IMO.

In terms of fabric and texture, Webb's costume looks better but obviously, Raimi's costume was 98% aesthetically accurate to the traditional ditko design so in that department, yeah Raimi's is better.

I loved, loved and LOVED (500) Days Of Summer, which is one of my favourite films now.

Webb really showed an extremely interesting way of directing (the scene where JGL runs away from the party out to the street from which the scene becomes a drawn picture for instance). He also showed that he can handle characters very well.

I actually feel very confident with Marc Webb directing this movie. Unless Sony doesn't let him use his talent, I don't think anyone should be too worried.
