Marvel’s First Family Casting Thread

I have a strong feeling that Timothee Chalamet will most likely join the MCU. Big question is, as who? Is he more suited to be Human Torch, or perhaps one of the X-Men such as Nightcrawler or Ice Man?
Timmy said his mentor gave him two pieces of advice: no drugs and no superhero movies

Jordan Elsass could work, but that's not the best pic of him and that top he's wearing is a bit psychedelic.

Yeah, he does have that 1968 shirt going.Lol.

Has anyone ever considered Amanda Seyfried for Sue? She was a candidate for Gamora apparently and she was nominated for an Oscar last year. I could see her being on Marvel radar.
Amanda Seyfried is long overdue for a part in the MCU. Perhaps Black Cat or Silver Sable or similar Femme Fatale. She has the acting chops to play virtually any female role - hopefully a protagonist though and not a villain - although she could play Emma Frost as well lol

i didnt catch this before but the Seth Rogen Ben Grimm news actually has more credibility than i previously thought
According to our intel – which comes from the same sources that told us The Falcon and the Winter Soldier would be delayed and that Percy Jackson is being rebooted as a streaming series, both of which were correct – Marvel want Rogen for the Fantastic Four’s Thing as we’ve previously heard, but he’s more interested in playing a hero that wouldn’t be a fully-CGI creation, and is said to have his eye on Nova.

Seth Rogen would be much better for Ben Grimm than Nova though. Besides, it's not like the Thing doesn't occasionally transform back to Ben Grimm. And he'd still get to do a lot of dramatic acting and comedy.

I can see Rogen doing Grimm personality-wise. But Ben is also supposed to be a tough guy, even before the accident. Not sure I see Rogen doing that. I don't think he's going to go through the Chris Pratt/Ryan Reynolds bodybuilding transformation, although maybe I'm underestimating him.
Rogen was the Green Hornet, but that was played for laughs.

How often would he be in human form though? He wouldn't be my first choice, but I'd be okay with it. He should learn some appreciation for the character though. Remember when Jack Black was being talked about for playing Green Lantern? The Nova Corps are basically the Green Lanterns of the Marvel Universe, so Rogen as Nova kind of reminds me of that.

off topic, but the best Nova would be someone like Armie Hammer, Jensen Ackles, or Patrick Wilson (lol).

MARVEL STUDIOS’ FANTASTIC FOUR
dir. Jon Watts

Reed Richards:
John David Washington, 37
Sue Storm: Mackenzie Davis, 34
Johnny / Human Torch: Kyle Allen, 28
Ben / Thing: Channing Tatum, 41
Franklin Storm: Child actor, 5-10

The Fantastic Four journey to the center of the Earth, former birthing cradle of stillborn Celestial Tiamut. Rogue adventurer Ivan Kragoff, alongside his team of genetically-modified primates, pursues them to claim the riches of the Earth’s core.

On their journey, the family encounters a legendary explorer from Reed’s youth who relentlessly pursued his theories of Hollow Earth. Years living in isolation deep inside the Earth have transformed him into the monstrous Mole Man and he now seeks revenge against the surface-dwellers.

Somehow I don't think Armie Hammer is going to be joining the MCU anytime soon.

In that case Garrett Hedlund and/or Taylor Kitsch the usual ppl thay should be in the MCU but arent yet

Franklin Storm: Child actor, 5-10
Thinking again about possible "woke" changes, I wonder if they might dispense of Franklin in favor of Val? And leave Franklin out altogether. Or perhaps make them twins (that would save time). I thought the original story where Sue's life was in danger when she had Franklin was pretty exciting. But some might not like the idea of motherhood, so who knows?

oddly enough I recently started considering Taylor Kitsch for Ben
(he's played action roles, football players, soldiers before) although usually more on the leaner side (how ever, still very fit, tonal wise) he did bulk up quit a bit for his role in, lone survivor...

so, if he could get anywhere near that size again, I could see it

Height wise he's not traditionally the tallest/over towering guy (at roughly 5'11") but that's not exactly short either, as long as you don't surround him with a super tall cast

According to our intel – which comes from the same sources that told us The Falcon and the Winter Soldierwould be delayed
You don’t had to be a credible WGTC-source to predict that back then…

Ben is going to be motion capture 95% of the time

this makes for an even stronger argument for Ben to be Seth Rogen - his voice is so distinct and he has voice acting experience

Me whenever someone unironically suggests Brandon Routh(who can’t act) for Reed Richards:/QUOTE]
I like Brandon Routh, but I can't see him as Reed Richards. Honestly, I can't quite picture him as Ray Palmer either. I thought he was a good Superman.

Off topic note: I'd love to see a version of the Squadron Supreme (or Sinister) onscreen. I don't know if they could get away with that however.

Rumor: Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness Could Feature Major Cameo Appearance By John Krasinski As [SPOILER] - The Illuminerdi
From what we’ve heard, it sounds like John Krasinski may have filmed scenes as Mr. Fantastic for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness. Now, if this turns out to be true it would be a huge win for fans that have fan cast Krasinski as the leader of the Fantastic Four for years. Interestingly it sounds like Krasinski could be playing a variant version of Mr. Fantastic from another universe. Mr. Fantastic was one of the members of the Illuminati in Marvel comics.
Take it with a grain of salt for now but the Iluminerdi are pretty reliable so this could be true.
