Ironheart Marvel Studios' Ironheart

If it’s on Deadline it ain’t a rumor any more

Eh, of the Supernatural Evil Overlord types, Mephisto kind of *is* a laughing stock, relatively speaking. He's the devil who pretty regularly bites off more than he can chew and finds himself desperately trying to fling some dude out of his realm. Sure, he's still threatening on a certain level, its just Mephisto isn't the kind of devil who can only be resisted and avoided, he's the kind of devil who you absolutely can punch in the face ( if you are sufficiently buff ).

Still, the only ones who I can remember really going up against him like this are people like Silver Surfer, Thanos, and other Hell Lords like Dormammu. He's still quite powerful.

Didn't know Mephisto would be a fit for Ironheart though - not all that familiar with the comics.
The season seems to be focussed on "technology VS magic". The villain, Hood, gets his powers from his cloak and boots which in the comics he basically stole from a demon, and which turned out belonged to Dormammu. Mephisto is seemingly taking Dormammu's place here.

It also makes me wonder if there's any chance Doom will be involved in this show somehow. He's one of the characters that most embodies the "technology VS magic" theme, and the comic storyline with Riri and the Hood was in Invincible Iron Man, where Riri and Doom-as-Iron-Man were basically the dual protagonists.

I can see this happening around October next year…it has spooky themes and it fits in the slot between Loki and Echo ( which will reportedly be delayed)

Spooky themes? Cool. I don’t know much about the source material on this one.

Will Cree Summers be just a voice? Would she be N.A.T.A.L.I.E. then? (Riri's version of JARVIS/FRIDAY basically)

Seeing some rumors that Regan Aliyah may be playing Zelma Stanton. Though nobody known to be reliable has picked it up yet.

Zelma Stanton is a young woman who had been infected with magic parasites and became the Sanctum Sanctorum's new librarian.
It seems these rumors were right. Wonder how she'll fit into this story. With Wong having been the librarian of Kamar-Taj I wonder if in the MCU she might become his apprentice.

Didn’t get an alert for this quote, but thanks for that.

Doom certainly embodies tech vs magic. Would be very interesting if they did anything in the direction of that storyline.

Am I the only person who wants a MJ, Ned or Flash cameo in Ironheart when they show her at M.I.T.?

I'm really curious to see how Ironheart would look like under a Disney+ budget...

Are we gonna see Riri in the suit for every episode or just 10 minutes for the entire run of the show?

Looking forward to this show. I liked that they aged her up and she's not just some high school student.

Yeah I was surprised she was already 19 in Wakanda Forever.

I think the fact they aged her up, I can see a scenario where we find out Tony Stark had interacted with her sometime within the 5-year span after the snap.
She did mention in Wakanda Forever she had been working on the suit for years which of course lines up to when Tony was still alive and to the comics when she met him when she was 15.
Unlikely we'll actually see RDJ but perhaps we get a mention.

I kind of wish other Champions could be part of this series.

Just found this out now:

- Chinaka Hodge, the head writer of Iron Heart is married to McCleod Bethel-Thompson, who just won a Grey Cup for the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL.

There's supposed leaked concept art of new armor and the villains out on the internet. It's most likely fake since there's no real reason to believe it's real + it pretty much looks like AI generated stuff that was blurred and cropped to not show the most obvious AI artefacts, but still fun to look at regardless.

The release date for Ironheart is wild. They finished filming November 2022. 3 years of post-production?

I am sensing lengthy reshoots are in order. Either way, Ironheart isn't one of the shows I am most excited for. So I can wait
