My problem is I'm genuinely terrible at this game. Not much to do but practice I guess

Yea, its all about practice man. My buddy used to dominate me in SFIV, but i just decided to really learn how to play the game and before long i was beating him with just about any character.

If you wanna play some matches let me know, i might be able to help ya out. Im not some super star, but im not bad either.

Yea i had that same problem when i started playing SFIV. I use Vega and he has a lot of moves that use that pattern. It just takes some work, but once you figure out the correct motion, you can pull it off fairly easily. Its just like the diagram shows, make a small, quick, z shaped pattern on ur d-pad. Dont go too far back the opposite direction. That was my biggest problem, i kept making the Z too big.

Yea if you knock her out and she has 5 HC bars, Dark Phoenix will come out. Someone pulled that on me in a match earlier, but it didnt matter, i dispatched DP as quickly as i dead Phoenix.

I signed up to vote. Im seeing a lot of Gambits. Hopefully he could make it in. He was one of the 5 i voted for. Also seeing a lot of Carnage, which i wouldnt be opposed to considering we got Venom last go round.

I'm a Psylocke fan and she has a lot of votes so hopefully she gets in. Other than her I'd like Cyclops and Iceman from X-Men.

Finally got to play today! So far, beat it two times, first with Arthur, then with Mango Sentinel. Having fun so far, but the missions are a pain.

just about ANY combo in the game, especially one ending in a hyper, will kill her

Found that out in a hurry. I used Phoenix against my buddies Ryu and he popped a hyper combo and one Haduoken and she was done. Pretty awful

Did my first rank battles today with my team of Cap, Iron Man and Thor. Wow Thor is horrible online. The lag input is pretty noticeable. And he's so slow. I really want to use this guy but I don't know if I can.

You know, Thor, Hulk and Dormammu are among some of my favorite Marvel Characters, but their speed in this game is a big bummer. I suggest going for somebody faster if you're playing online. X-23 is crazy fast

Actually Hulk on my team of Spidey and Zero helped me end the night on a 2 fight win streak lol. He's a tiny bit faster than Thor and I like his combos better. But yeah sadly I may have to drop Thor from online play.

Hers is actually 420,000. Despite this, she happens to be one of the fastest in the game. The trick is to not get hit. A good knowledge of how to use her moves and teleport makes her alot more effective, even without the DP transformation.

Phoenix is meant to be one of the strongest characters in the game, according to Capcom. Thats why they made her very weak, health wise. If you stay away from the enemy just using her attacks from afar, she's quite effective, and even more so as Dark Phoenix

She got me killed since I'm an up close brawler. My best friend spams the **** out of people with projectiles (and does nothing else) so Phoenix was right up his ally. He'd use Doctor Doom, Iron Man and either Phoenix or Deadpool and just stand in a corner of the arena and spam the **** outta me with projectile attacks. Goddamn annoying!

Yea that can be annoying but it's fairly easy to overcome.

I don't know who any of those capcom characters are, but ur marvel list is pretty close to mine. Just sub psylocke for Blade and Blackheart for Black Panther.

If these votes do determine who gets in, I deff think Gambit will make it in. Maybe I'll do a quick tally this weekend but just scrolling through it seemed he had the majority of the votes .

I'm loving how long its taking my SE to arrive from Best Buy. If I hadn't also bougt the regular version from my job, I still wouldn't be playing. Damn, BB.

I guess wireless input lag does exist. I think I felt some yesterday trying to use my fightpad. I plugged in my PS3 controller using the USB cord and it felt like everything came out when I wanted.
