I really hope Cable stays dead. Not just so he'll never be in this game, but just because he's a waste of a character and is worse than Gambit.

He's not dead. He's only "presumed dead". His "death" was left open ended and I bet he's chilling somewhere in the future, just waiting to find a way back home

Are you kidding? Some of the best stuff done with Cable has BEEN in the last 10 years.

Like I said. I didn't give a **** about Cable until Cable & Deadpool and then his solo series that cancelled that. Those did wonders for his character.

I find it so frustrating how willing people are to 'hate' things or write off a character or film or concept so completely.

I don't read Super-man comics, I never particularly liked the movies and there are many things about him that annoy me, but I would never say I outright hated him because I see great potential in the many ways his character could be portrayed.
I'm not going to say 'I hate Super-Man' or 'Super-man blows' because of that, theres alot of meat to be had from that bone.

Exact same thing with Cable. If you're going to hypothetically wish Cable to stay dead because you don't like him, why not wish instead someone writes a really great story about him? Gah. Maybe it's just because I tend to think more creatively than critically about these things that it annoys me.

I don't really see the problem with Cable, I've always liked him since he was first introduced. I thought he was a perfect fit for MvC 2, or hell MvC period

Thing is Cable was a bit cheap in MVC2.But then again Sentinel is in the game.

Not as cheap as getting double teamed by Akuma and Dr Doom in arcade mode in the Galactus fight. God dang!

The heralds aren't that hard for me especially since they share a health bar.Galactus I couldn't beat on normal.So I just switched to easy.

Cable is the epitome of all that was bad in the 90's. Convoluted backstory? Check. Bionic bodyparts? Check. Impossibly big gun? Check. Pouches? Check. Mutant but never uses his powers because guns are too cool? Check.

Waste of a character.

Heh. Iron Fist is in Ryu's ending. Also on the back board you see Ken vs Mr. X (which I'm assuming means the trenchcoat wearing B.O.W. from Resident Evil 2)

Cable's still lame, and I don't care what new things people have done to him, he's still an X-Man from the future (among a lot of other things) and that alone prevents me from even wanting to know about him. In fact, I'll only accept two more X characters in this game, and those are Cyclops and (if they actually do this I'll be ecstatic) Beast, otherwise there's too many mutants in the game as it is.

Also, you guys make me sad. I thought that the only things everyone can hate are the Nazis, Halle Berry as Catwoman and Cable.

There's only 6 mutants in this game. Sentinel is a robot. That's not even close to filling out the cast.

Still the Sentinel and Deadpool are X-characters. And there are more than enough of them.

People simply don't get the fact the X-Men are a gold mine when it comes to powers that are both easy to display on screen and amazingly aesthetic. They are also a popular franchise for Marvel.

I get sick of people *****ing about too many X-Men reps, when there's only 6 (7 if you count Deadpool) in the game. That over 20 reps for other series in this game that are not X-Men reps. And they'd still be the minority when you only count Marvel reps.

Yeah, which sucks. Maybe, MAYBE, if the X-Men weren't always isolated in their own little selfish world and actually were superheroes again, I might give them more credit, but right now? F*** 'em.

And personally, I'd prefer a sequel to Marvel Superheroes next, instead of a MvC4.

To paraphrase she rose from the dead again and is now incubating in a thing called The White Hot Room until she finds all the pieces of herself. Lately people with a connection to the Phoenix Force having been losing that connection. When Rachel Grey Summers lost her connection she said ''Not now mom."

Basically, Jean's on her way back, it's just a matter of when.

im very much aware shes in the White Hot Room collecting all her missing fragments to one day return to her place to keep order in the universe.....but as far as Marvel's concerned, shes dead.

No. She'd be what in comic's universe would be called ''Limbo." or in non comics terms just in a state of disuse. The character is not dead. She's just not present in the comics at this period of time.

yeah i know there are many ways to describe it, but ask anybody at marvel and theyll tell you shes dead. thats what Phoenix does- she dies and is resurrected.
