after all, aren't they adding Vergil? Isn't he Dante's brother? Wouldn't he play similar to Dante?

I'm assuming he would be similar but with some differences. Heck, he may play completely differently, just like X-23 is similar to Wolverine, yet plays completely differently.

if so, why can't you have Zero's counterpart in Mega Man X? They'd be similar......yet play differently.......

or.........how about a Capcom style DC fighting game for once!!

instead of doing these crossover/vs games, just stick to one franchise at a time, and then you can throw in more characters per game.

there are a ton of X-men, Marvel, and DC characters that I'd love to see in a fighting game.

I watch some of those MUGEN videos on Youtube, and man-o-man, I just wish that were an "official" console game.......

Well, I imagine the appeal of doing versus games instead of just sticking to one thing is that you've got the potential for twice as many sales as you would otherwise since you're roping in two different fan bases.

If they released a Marvel only fighting game, it would be interesting to compare the sales to Marvel vs Capcom 3.

Dante and Vergil are nothing alike. Nero is far more like Dante than Vergil is. Vergil is a katana sword and draw style. He doesn't even guns. In fact he hates them and I think he criticized Dante for using them.

Vergil will play completely differently. Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition can attest to that.

well then, I stand corrected, as I really know nothing about Vergil, other than he's Dante's brother.

but still, Mega Man X can play totally different than Zero. Zero uses his sword and X will focus on his Mega Buster........

there's no real reason NOT to include X other than the devs/Capcom saying we don't want him in because.....well.....we say so........

I guess that's true for pretty much any character ( with Marvel having a say for theirs ).

but, when fans are pretty vocal about a certain character, which it seemed the case with X was, it's kind of dumb not to listen to your fans and not put that character in.

the fans, after all, are the ones who are going to buy your game.

anyways, here's hoping that Ultimate is not the end of the road for this game, and that more characters will be released in the future.

Capcom calls them "alternate costumes." Every other fighting game publisher calls them "pallet swaps."

Watching that video, really not hating on Phoenix Wright, but I can't believe he got in over any of the different Mega Men. Their first whole effin' excuse for not including Mega Man in the first place, was how he'd barely have any moves. Well, what ****ing Moves does Phoenix Wright have?

I wanted Phoenix Wright to be in the game, but what irritates me like a bad rash is that if we believe even half the reasons people claim that Mega Man doesn't work in MVC then Phoenix has no place in it at all. The only thing he has is "OBJECTION!" and the rest of his fighting style will have to be completely improvised. If they can stretch his character that much then why couldn't they for Mega Man?

The only logical conclusion is that Capcom is saving him as an incentive to buy Arcade Edition, because every other explanation requires too much anti-logic to be believable.

I was hoping for Mega Man X so they could possibly do something like once a certain achivement was attained you gained the ability to do the Hadoken like in the old game.

ugh, capcom being annoying again. they are way way over nerfing tron. Her powerful gustaff flame assist, the one thing that kept her on teams, and she lost comboing from J.fierce

Iron Man is their new Spider-Man right now. Go by the Disney Store and check the Marvel area, he's like front and center on most of the merchandise.

Who the hell's Spider-Man? With all the characters involved in this game, why should Capcom go with one of its more obscure characters that probably only got in due to fan service?

Once Marvel/Disney gets back Spidey's movie rights from Sony (right after hell freezes over) I expect him to be front and center in merchandising again.

Right now Marvel seems to rotate between Wolverine and Iron man as their mascot.
