I'm still pissed that we don't have the real Rad Spencer as a costume. He should have been the main Spencer costume, but he's not even available as an alt.

"Nathan Spencer" can suck it. He looks like a Rastafarian's ********. :o

IA. Im upset that Rad Spencer wasnt included in the game. Wont happen, but Id settle for him being DLC and I dont mean Nathan in Rad's clothes. I want a full Rad Spencer model

Wow, Capcom really does suck. If you are expecting UMVC3 to be a complete package, its not. They are selling new game modes for it as DLC. So much for it being a "budget price". They'll just release the base game as is and charge you for the extra content they are leaving out

one new mode players will be able to add is unlimited hyper combo mode. Pricing for this mode has not been announced.

Interestingly enough, Famitsu announced (via SiliconEra) that Capcom would be adding new gameplay modes to UMvC3 via DLC. The first is apparently an unlimited hyper combo mode. I suppose this means that you and your friends can do nothing but shoot lasers at eachother for hours if you so desire.

That mode is going to be DLC? Wasn't that always something that was, you know free?

It's scary how some of these studios rip their games apart for sheer unabashed greed.

I understand nostalgia. But are you actually saying the first picture is cooler than the second????

I wish I were surprised, but sadly, I'm not. Once they charged you for the stupid Shadow Mode thing, so the AI would play like the developers or whatever nonsense, I knew it would continue to go downhill from there.

Capcom might as well just start charging $100 for their games and stop trying to hide behind the facade of DLC. Let's see how many people buy their games on day 1 when they see what the real cost of them is. :o

The day Capcom heard about being able to charge for DLC was the day Satan said to himself, "the first seal has been broken."

It must be the result of a translation error. Capcom heard the term "DLC," but didn't realize it meant "Downloadable Content." Instead, Capcom uses the term "DLC" to refer to "Disc-locked content"-- content on the disc that is locked unless you pay the publisher additional fees. Dirty bastards.

The first one was drawn by Dave Gibbons who drew Watchmen, and quite a few people would say it looks cooler than the render of Rasta Spencer-- especially since it actually resembles Rad Spencer, which I cannot say for Rasta Spencer.

If only. :(

Honesty is a thing of the past apparently.

:funny:

See, that guy has personality. He's not generic brooding male action hero. I think he'd have great lines and quips throughout gameplay

Man, the more I read about this DLC stuff, the more I get pissed at Capcom. And sadly I know it will never change, because even if I don't buy their games, the countless other drones will.

Yes Rad Spencer is most definetly cooler than Nathan Spencer

Mustachioed Rad Spencer is best Rad Spencer.

I absolutely love these two pics and would definitely prefer that version over the Nathan one.

You know what? If they are going to do that, they might as well own it, embrace it and run with it. Just say from here on out, you are going to experiment with releasing your games and focusing on microtransactions. It should be interesting if they were to have 2 versions of games. They can release the base game at $30-40 with all the extras as DLC microtransactions and they can release a complete package at full retail price of $60. They could have tried that out with this game

instead of "saving" up the DLC content for one big rerelease, it would have been better if they just released the new characters on a regular basis.

The game came out in Feb. With the Ultimate edition coming out in Nov, that's almost a full year of waiting for new characters.

I figured a few months after release, we'd start seeing some more DLC characters beyond Jill and Shuma.

by now, I've kind of lost interest in the game....

Releasing individual characters as microtransactions would just give them an excuse to charge an exhorbant amount for the characters, like they would have done if they actually had the infrastructure to do it (hence why MVC3 Vanilla's "DLC" characters were already on the disc).

I don't waste my time hating a company for their business methods. UMvC3 looks like it's going to be better that MvC3 based solely on the new characters added, so I'm buying it, playing it until I get bored, and then trading it in, just as I do with all my games.

It already gains major points in being a pick up and play game.
