The Arcade edition was actually announced before Super SF IV was released. Details of what it would entailed though werent released till later. I believe that was 6 months later

ah, so that's possible good news. Either by the time this game comes out, we should know if we are getting an Arcade addition.. and if no announcement is made, it may be a safe bet that this might be the last edition and they may even add more DLC characters. So i guess only time will tell...

in all honesty, if they added 1 female on the marvel side, and Doc Ock, i'd be pretty happy.

Ghost Rider-Dante's ending
Iron Fist-Ryu's ending
Phoenix Wright-She-Hulk's ending
Firebrand-Dormammu's ending
Nemesis-Hulk's ending

Did I miss any?

Doc Strange was in Hsien-Ko's ending.

For the most part the roster additions suck IMO. The only ones that I'm excited about are Ghost Rider, Dr. Strange, Phoenix Wright and Nemesis. It looks like Capcom pretty much ignored all the polling that was going on about which characters should be added, because they don't even have freaking Mega Man X. I'm going to pass unless I find UMVC3 used for cheap in a few years-- either that, or hold out for Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Arcade Edition.

There wouldn't be a Capcom without Megaman. Imagine if Nintendo was crapping on Mario the way Capcom craps on Megaman-- we'd never hear the end of it from the fans. Sega may treat Sonic like crap with all the half-assed games they make with him, but at least they recognize the character's importance to the company.

Well to be fair on Marvel characters it's Marvel themselves who have the final say on who gets in. For all we know Capcom could have asked for Gambit, Cyclops, and Venom, but despite the DLC poll, Marvel still said no.

Feige stated Marvel has plans to explore the world of martial arts (Iron Fist), the world of magic (Dr. Strange) and the cosmic universe. That alludes to Nova and of course Gaurdians of the Galaxy. Both Iron Fist and Dr. Strange have screenwriters and Feige thinks GOTG has alot of potential on the big screen.

Venom is a no go since the version people would want is Eddie Brock and Marvel is pushing Flash Thompson as Venom now.Only solution would be Anti-Venom but I don't see that happening.

Maybe I'd consider buying Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Arcade Edition if they actually include the stuff that UMVC3 was supposed to have-- but I said the same thing about replacing MVC3FTW with UMVC3. Crapcom doesn't know what they are doing, and until they get their act together I don't really see myself buying anything from them for a while-- not that I have been buying much from them lately.

Also, apparently Capcom is really pissed that the entire roster for UMVC3 has been leaked already. My guess is they are mad because they know a lot of people aren't going to pre-order it now that they know that they already know it won't have the characters they want, whereas if Capcom waited till the last minute to reveal the entire cast, most people would be too hyped to back out no matter how disappointing the final selections were.

I love the roster.Only ones I wanted that didn't make it were Psylocke and a Spidey Villain but the new characters announced make up for that.

There will definitely be DLC for this game, the game's roster is now at 50. 6 away from MvC2, you don't think Capcom wants to get up to the number of MvC2?

Also, I'm betting DD is DLC. He would complete Team Lawyer & he's on the new Shadowland stage. Every major character who's been in the background has been in the game somehow. Tron, Akuma (his pic is in the Hand stage) & Firebrand for instance.

Same here. I'll be much happier saving $40 than I will be knowing that I can play as some goofy Raccoon guy I've never heard of or Virgil (who in a way is already available as Dante's alternate costume). Maybe if Capcom gets it right for the inevitable third edition of MVC3 I will buy it, but I see no reason to squander my money for such a frivolous update.

Also, Marvel owns a fair part of the blame too. They could have made up for what was lacking on Capcom's side of things in their own selections, but like Capcom they seem to be completely ignoring the input from the fans and choosing whatever characters they want to promote the most. Ghost Rider is pretty much the only one that anyone was asking for, all the other top picks are being ignored.

If Capcom knew Marvel was going to be ignoring fan input when making their selections, they could have at least tried to compensate by putting as much fanservice on their side as they could, but they didn't, and to me that's just plain stupid. It ain't my problem though, because I know better than to waste my money on something I don't even have use for.

I'd say they are more than likely pissed not because they'll loose business because everyone knows they are going to god damn well buy it anyways, even if they are saying they are not at the moment, but because imagine you've worked on something and you've put time into it and you think they fans will be excited but it leaks all right away and in no time really like the game was announced and literally an hour or so later all 12 new characters were known.

It's like if you were an author and the ending of your book leaked onto the internet before it was released.

I hate the $40 price tag for updates that could've been done on Fate of Two Worlds.
