Capcom Marvel vs. Capcom 3

I now think the Megaman we're getting is Classic. X has been disconfirmed and now Tron has Volnutt's theme from TVC.

I don't care if X-23 plays different from Wolverine. Cyclops should have been in this game. Marvel needs to make up for his ****** portrayal in the movies and recent cartoon.

This isn't the first time he hasn't been playable in a Marvel crossover. He wasn't in MSH, was only an assist in MVC1 and wasn't even supposed to be in MSHvsSF. He only got in because of licensing issues with Iron Man.

He couldn't even make it into the initial roster of either MUA game.

X=23 is stupid, who even likes that character?

She was apparently popular enough to get put into the comics, like Harley Quinn did with BTAS.

It's one thing to not get in the game, but its a bit insulting to the guy when he doesn't even rank above Wolverine's girl clone. I'm sure he would have had a ridiculously awesome hyper move too.

Thing is, I think they could have made Wolverine's moves a bit cooler and just skipped X-23 entirely.

Wolverine's overrated in general. X-23's actually rather interesting compared to him. People look at her and assume she's just girl Wolverine, but once you really read her you find out she's a tonally different character.

Exactly. I think most that hate on her are those with limited exposure and automatically assume she's simply just like Wolverine.

thanks. Like I imagined, she has alot of kick based moved and appears to be rather fast and agile with her movement and execution. She looks like she's going to be pretty fun to play as

X23, sweet. least we're not getting 2 wolverines this time.... bone claws was so redundant... and at least X23 ads the foot claws and more acrobatic move style... but i also see others points on how she's taking up a spot... but hey, out of any "new" characters created over the last 10 years, she'd probably pretty high on the list. so doesn't suprise me that she's there. Capcom also very much likes to take obscure as well as generation defining characters from the marvel universe (kinda like how Marrow, War Machine, Thanos, and Omega Red were used in MVC2)

New Simple Mode added. Sounds rather dumb and those who use it will still most likely get killed by experts. I thought pulling off moves in MvC was simple enough as it is. Its not like its a technical fighter like Tekken or Virtua Fighter.The game was already a button masher in many regards. They just made it more so. Im sure this will bound to be annoying unless they seperate it when playing online. Im glad that its mentioned that they are at least considering filtering it online

Fighting games have become pretty hardcore through the years. The best players know every combatants' move set, even down to the individual frames of animation. To me, that's nuts. Effective, but nuts. As a result of my comparative apathy, I get my ass handed to me every time I play against such a student. That's my punishment, but perhaps not for much longer thanks to a simple mode being added for Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Simple mode was designed for players who are new to fighting games. It's all about that elusive "accessibility." It works by automating some of the command inputs, allowing players to pull off some special moves -- including hyper combos -- with inputs as simple as a single button press. Mash a few buttons, receive a flashy move in return. The game basically boils down to positioning and timing, as opposed to dexterity.

Blasphemy? That depends on your perspective. Those that have trouble pulling off big combos will likely be thankful that they get the chance to see some of the visual flair everyone else is rewarded with. Hardcore players? They can just skip it. We were told that some measures are being put into place to keep the balance online -- my guess is through ranked filters &#8211; Offline you're free to choose simple mode at the start of any match, much the way you could choose your strength as a handicap in some classic fighting games like Super Street Fighter II.

I agree with Havok the originals were already pretty much button mashers and simple as is. Is it necessary to add an entire mode based on this?

Sorry I offended the X-23 fans, I just see her in the place of someone who really deserves a spot like Magneto or Cyke. Not saying they are better characters but I would say that a good chunk of the readership do not think X-23 when they hear the word Marvel, definatley not the General Public. Iron Fist would be more acceptable to me but we get what we get.

Okay after watching the vid of Tron Bonne again I must say that gameplay wise I've changed my mind, she has some cool moves. However, I still think she's noisy to the extreme :P

With all due respect, in a setting like this, who cares about her backstory or character flaws? She's another playable character with claws. She had best be really, really varied from Wolverine's play style for her to not waste that character space.
