Seriously. Anyone actually worried that Spider-Man won't be in this (or anything Marvel is involved with really) isn't exactly thinking things through.

Yeah, I'm sure Spidey is going to happen. Though, I admit, it does seem strange that we haven't seen him, yet. I would think that'd be among the first characters you'd show.

There really shouldn't be any speculation to whether he's in or not. He's one of Marvel's flagship characters and is the most popular. Him not being in would be like the Capcom side leaving out Ryu or a DC vs game without Batman or Superman.

Plus not only does he have a stage in the game but his silhouette is in the new teaser trailer.

Him not being in would be more like Capcom leaving Ken out. While one of the top characters and important, not 100% essential or necesary.

Well in one of the stages there's a Spider-man float in the background. If licensing were an issue then his likeness couldn't be used at all. Playable or not.

That didnt stop him from appearing in EA's fighter, Marvel Nemesis a few years ago

Yup, the two flagship characters fighting each other? Sounds good. They'd have the company's 3 biggest franchises fighting each other X-Men vs Street Fighter, Hulk vs Resident Evil & Spider-Man vs Mega Man.

Capcom said Licensing isn't an issue for MvC3 calling fighters "An entirely different beast", so if they wanted they could even get Punisher in this game. Honestly, I hope they do so we can have Punisher vs Frank West.

Here's some rivalries I can see working out

Dr Doom and Wesker - Both are intelligent, well spoken, and usually calm. They're both also completely hung up on becoming Gods, no matter what the cost.

Captain America and Captain Commando - Both are Americans and fight for justice.

But hadn't there been some legal issue a couple of years back when EA made Marvel Nemesis, but could't get the rights to Punisher, Daredevil, Hulk, and Capt. America, so they where "killed" in the intro?

Either way, doesn't change how likely it is for ol' Webhead to be in the game. I think if Spider-Man wasn't in it, they'd have softened the blow. Think it's more to do with this whole "filter out the cast slowly" aproach they're taking.

Actually, Captain America was in the PSP version of Nemesis.

Marvel can licenses characters based on genre. So that is why Activision could make an action game with X-Men Legends while other characters appeared in an EA produced fighting game.

Spider-Man will be in his silhouette was kind of discernible in the new trailer.

I hope we get a good roster when it's all said and done that can be the basis for a new series of Vs. Games that goes well into the next generation.

I thought the graphics looked kinda crappy too. Love the cutscenes, but the in-game graphics look like plastic. I really hope they get to tweak them, since they still got a while before the game gets released.

I agree that the graphics need some work. Both in-game and cutscenes. :/
