Well with the limited roster there should be as many unique characters as possible. So Ken and Sakura are unneeded when we already have Ryu.

I think you have too many X-men and SF characters. This is MVC3. Not X-men vs SF 2 with new additions.(which is basically what MVC2 was.) Three should be the maximum for both sides. TVC did the right thing by having only 3 SF characters.

ryu and ken kinda go hand in hand though... as for X-men... there always going to be more x-men in any marvel game then any other team... they have the most unique and contrasting powersets.

No, they have the most popular characters. That's the only reason the X-Men get more slots than anyone else: they sell better among the mainstream audience.

Not anymore. Avengers are becoming the next big thing. Just like the X-Men. First it happened in the comics, then it's gonna be cartoons & then finally the big-screen.

Then hopefully Marvel vs. Capcom 4 and Ultimate Alliance 3 will reflect that because I'm really f***ing sick of the X-Men getting the lion's share of slots on these games.

I hope that leaked list turns out to be correct. There are some great characters on there, including Thor, whose presence in this game is required for me to even consider doing anything more than renting it.

So, what, he get two Frank West characters? Man, what the hell? List is okay, some nice inclusions, but as I expected, 3/4 of characters I would like to see didn't make it. Glad to see there's only a small amount of X-Men instead of them talking up a huge chuck of like 1/4-1/2 the roster. I wonder what the marvel thing at the bottom would be? Marvelboy?

Maybe. I remain skeptical, though, especially now that I've actually read the rest of that article you posted and realized that list is probably fake. Thor's been unpopular for a really long time in America, let alone Japan. His newly reinvigorated popularity is taking me some time to adjust to. I'm used to being the only one I know who gives a s*** about Thor.

My only problem with that roster(if it's true) is War Machine and Chuck Greene. Two wastes of spots right there. Replace War Machine with Daredevil and replace Greene with either Cap Commando or Regina. Then the roster is just fine with me.

And if anyone ever comes across a so called rumor about Venom not making the cut because the developers would not be able to replicate his “complex animations.” if you have any sense at all you would claim it as BS.

It's not that they hated them. It's that they would take up four slots. The F4 are(usually) of equal importance, so it wouldn't make sense to include one of the four but not the other three, two out of the four, or any other combination. Rather than filling up four of Marvel's 15-20 character slots, it makes more sense to condense all four of their powers into one character: Super Skrull.

eh, see i think 2 are fine... the only pairings of 2 Fan 4 members that would be odd is Torch and Reed or maybe thing and sue. but Sue and torch work (bro and sis), ben and reed work (best friends), ben and johnny (rivalry), and sue and reed work (married). you don't need all 4...

megaman isnt on that list.... which makes the list seem bogus to me. hes a pretty popular capcom character to not be included... especially when they have a level reflecting his universe in this game already.

Also the X-Men hatred is ridic. If you can't handle 7 X-Men in games that have like 30 characters, seriously? That's PLENTY of slots for the other Marvel franchises to get characters.

I only care for, like, three X-characters and that's about all I care to see. It's no more ridiculous than 'hate' for anything else.

not to mention these days Wolverine is just as much an X-man as he is an avenger... as have other mutants been in the past... such as beast... also juggernaut is just as much a spidey and hulk villain as he is an X-villain at times.

I want to see characters I want to see, and not character I don't want to, just like everyone else. Not to mention the previous games in the vs series have been very X-heavy (not to mention other non-vs titles in Marvel titles). Like I said, there's only three X-characters I really care to see at all, more than that, or other besides them, I don't care at all to see.

If wanting to see more characters you like, and less that you don't like is dumb, I guess just about everyone's opinion posting here must be pretty dumb, too. Including your own, as I'm sure you have your preferences, unless you're 100% unbiased to any and every character that will be introduced.

Yeah, just like a bunch of other characters from both sides of the franchises have very appealing powers. Hell, really you can make any character from just about anywhere work that way with the right amount of creativity (and Capcom has proven as much with characters like Ruby Heart, Son-Son, etc. in the previous MVC).

So, it comes down to your preference for who want to see. If you're totally unbias, does it really matter at all who people are wanting or not wanting as long as they have the capacity for good powers?

Shoryuken.com has revealed the game's playable character list for both the Marvel and Capcom sides; though, just today, they found out this list had been downsized:

Interesting, but I wonder what got downsized from this. I put the ones I think are gone in bold. Just a guess on my part, though
