Capcom Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Well, they look almost completely different I believe, but from a power standpoint, I don't know if there's any significant different.

I wouldnt say completely different. They look alike enough to confuse people. I beleive Gargan has a much larger spider symbol on his chest but their basic design is extremely similar. If anythnig one would be an alternate skin. As far as the different characters go, I dont think there would be a signficant difference that it would matter who is in vs who. I think they'd be created with the same exact mindset, especially since they have the same powers.

I never did like them giving Gargan the symbiote. It ruined two villains.

Carnage aint getting in before Venom. And if Venom is in then that's it. No more symbiotes.

IA. Havent read much of the character since the change but I prefer oldschool Scorpion and Venom. Id rather he not be in the game though. Id prefer another Spidey villian like Shocker. Not that I like him or anything but Id imagine he'd be really fun to play with as his moves with be pretty cool. Highly unlikely he'd be in though

Venom is still my favorite from MvC2.

Capcom considered using them, Marvel said no, then they offered Super Skrull as an option because he has all their powers. I like this better because in most things you get all four members and that's a bit too much when you have such limited spaces. And given that he has all their powers he can probably do more creative things given that he can use more than one power at once.

How do you know they said no? And why would they say no?

Like I said if you put one of them in, it really feels like you should put all of them in. More than any other Marvel team, they really should go together. And that's a waste of roster space in a game that's likely gonna have limited slots anyway. So instead we get Super Skrull who "represents" the F4, while only taking one slot.

Super Skrull is a pretty cool character. I like him & glad he's in. I hope he's revealed at CC, I wanna see him in action.

For a fighter, I dont think they all need to be in there. Something like MuA yes, but not so much this. With that said, Im not upset about Super Skrull bc I think he should at least be interesting to play with. I really have no desire to see Thing or Mr. Fantastic as their own character so at least he's blended with the 2 I do want, Torch and Sue

Super-Skrull looks fun. Chun-Li looks like Chun-Li. Doom looks like he lost some weight in the transfer to 3D but otherwise looks pretty much the same as earlier MvC versions.

Me too. The two biggest things I worry about with this game is 1) whether or not the gimped button layout is going to make it feel too simple, and 2) whether or not the graphic style is going to annoy me in the long run. It's too late for them to fix the button layout, sadly, but they can at least polish up the graphics so that they don't look so plasticy. If I don't even like watching a game, there's not much chance I'll be playing it for long durations I'm afraid.

I'm actually a lot more excited about the new Mortal Kombat ATM.
