The only reason Iron Man's getting so much publicity now is because of the success of his films which has made him Marvel's current poster boy similar to how DC is trying to do the same for Green Lantern . Before the first film of Iron Man he was basically for the most part unknown to the general public at best they only knew that he was a key member of The Avengers .

I hate when people say that. The main difference between movie Thor & modern comics Thor is that movie Thor doesn't have chainmail pants.

Oh don't get me wrong I love the design we've seen so far for Thor although we haven't seen him yet in a full body shot with his helmet . However I'm disappointed that Captain America's suit is more of a high-tech military armor than the Classic traditional star spangled costume .

I'm diggin' the character theme approach to the music. MvC2's tracks were super-repetitive, but these sound pretty hype so far. I'm still getting used to Amaterasu's inclusion, but she's an inspired choice for a fighting game.

Right now, all I'd like to see modified is the damage scaling. A lot of these matches have gone down to the last ten seconds in the allotted 99. Nimura mentioned they noticed that, though, so hopefully the next build buffs the cast a bit.

I love that Cap has a remixed version of his MvC1 theme and Doom has a remixed version of his MSH theme.

I forgot to mention that Punisher has also been deconfirmed. They said that they were trying not to have characters that were too similar and I they mentioned that he would probably play too much like Chris which I have to agree.

I guess this means no Ken/Akuma/Sakura. Good I say. They're unneeded when we already have Ryu. With the limited roster I want as many unique characters as possible.

In a way it makes sense, since Joe got pulled from his world into another one, while Dormammu's thing is opening doors to different worlds. Granted, there's gross oversimplification and ingnorance in the previous statement, but you get my point.

On the other hand, I think besides Thor and Amaterasu, none of the new characters are actually matches for each other. Chun Li's match in XVSF was actually Storm, while I expect Doom's to be either Bison or Wesker. Super Skrull ant Trish's would be hard guesses from me, but I heard say a Bionic Commando Stage was seen So Rad Spencer could be SSkrull's match. This is all, of course, speculation on my part.

Capcom Unity talk says in one of the Streams, Nitsuma revealed there aren't gonna be any Rival Schools or Powerstone characters. That's...disheartening, but not unexpected.

Doom and Chun Li kind of makes sense also. Doom is a international criminal and Chun Li is Interpol. I agree with the others. I don't see how Cap/Trish and SS/Felicia match up.

Here's how I think the others match up

Ryu vs. Wolverine- Lead characters of one of their respective company's biggest series


Chris vs. Hulk- Chris fights monsters and Hulk is a "monster"


Morrigan vs. Iron Man- Tony is a womanizer and Morrigan is a succubus


Dante vs. Deadpool- Both use swords and guns, wear red and tends to be comical. Plus, Dante hates anyone with a bigger mouth than himself.

Amaterasu vs. Thor: Both are Gods based on mythology(Thor with Norse and Amaterasu with Japanese)
