Capcom Marvel vs. Capcom 3

I'll be getting it for 360!! However, I don't pay for Live, so I won't be playing it online ( that way, you all won't be able to kick my a** t: )

I was thinking of getting it for PS3 for the online play, but the few games I've played online had lag, which took the enjoyment out of the game.......

Anyways, my starting team will be Storm, X-23, and Dante!!

That doesnt make sense. You will be getting it for the 360 bc you wont be playing it online but discarded getting it for the PS3 bc of subpar online play that you wont be using anyway?

I'm not incredibly crazy about either, but at least Bison would make sense as another villain who wants to conquer the planet. I'm still incredibly disappointed in the lack of Capcom villains.

The freaking Marvel side has group meetings, while Capcom has Akuma and Weskers as loners.

Agreed. Trying to think of some noteworthy Capcom villains other than M. Bison that they haven't included...Pyron? Having a major brain fart here.

If there wasnt already 2 MM characters, Sigma or better yet Bass & Treble could have been added.

it's my understanding that 360 owners do have to pay for the "Gold" subscription ( or whatever it's called now ) in order to play online.........

well, it's been my experience that the 360 versions of games tend to look slightly better than the PS3 versions. Plus, the 360 versions do say they support 1080p output while the PS3 versions usually say only 720p output.

I wasn't sure if the PS3 version of MVC3 would support 1080p, but most likely the 360 version would.

So, it came down to whether or not I wanted to play online. I debated that, but figured since MVC3 would be so "intense" with its 3 on 3 matches, there prob would be a lot of lag online.

So, I ultimately decided to get it for the 360............

For villians, Dr. Wily really should be included to represent the Mega Man games finally...but I would be ok with Bass, as he's a pretty awesome villian.

I'm going to be pre-ordering the collectors edition from Best Buy tonight. I normally would just get the regular, but I want Jill early.

Normally Street Fighter gets the X-Men treatment in these types of games with them pretty much getting most of the character slots.

I would love to have a Mega Man majority.

That's what I was thinking. Bass/Forte and Treble/Gospel were my fav, but aren't they more anti-hero than villain?

Makes sense, Dante was one of the most fun to play as when I played a game at TGS.

I'd definitely add Sigma. There's no 2nd guessing about him if he's a villain or not. Virgil probably wouldn't be bad either as a villain. I don't know who else to add though. Don't know much about the other Capcom franchises.

Vergil would've been great in my opinion. Wouldn't make sense for Akuma if their excuse is that he's "too similar to Dante." If RE can get three characters, DMC should too! But I'd bet they'd go with Nelo Angelo for "diversity's sake" if they chose to go with a third DMC character.

The hyper does more than change the color of her costume. It gives her constant fiery Phoenix wings, her eyes turn white and her body is engulfed in flames. Her alternate would just be red without these cosmetic changes. Those would only be activated when she uses her Hyper

im definitely excited for Jean, and i wanna see how different Zero and X-23 play from Megaman and Logan. Deadpool and Dante should be fun too. i just know im gonna get spanked whenever i play this online- this is nothing like regular Street Fighter.

Zero and Megaman are very very very different...if you have a wiigo rent Tatsunoko vs capcom so you can get a feel for him.... TvC Zero and MvC Zero are almost identical... very few differences.

Man I haven't posted here in a while, anyway I think I'm most eager to try out Zero (I'm a huge Mega Man fan) as well as Jean and Whesker. Though when I was at E3 last year I was so impressed with Dante I think he'll always be on my starting line up.

360 version for me as well. Don't know if I'll play online much since I stink up the joint whenever I try. But I have to say I'm excited for this game more then any other one coming out this year.

I just hope Mega Man shows up at some point, even if it's DLC.

On the Capcom side: Zero to see how different he is from TvC. Arthur and Amaratasu also, as I have felt both should be in these games for quite a long time.

On the Marvel side: It's all about Jean, the Super Skrull, and X-23 for me. All three of these look awesome. Also MODOK for the absurdity and pure fun of it all.
