Capcom Marvel vs. Capcom 3

They went lazy on everyone's alts. Honestly, Spider-Man is the only one actually has different costumes.

Maybe this is gonna be like SF4. Everyone had color swaps as usual and later they added costumes through DLC.
Caps are pretty different and aren't completly color pallete swaps

I would wait until you try the game before hating on the characters. The Capcom side is a much more balanced look at the history of Capcom franchises than the previous two games were.

The Marvel side has quite a bit of diversity in it also and has a much smaller X-presence than the previous games.

I may not like everyone they have in it, but overall, I love how unique and diverse the games characters and roster are. I'm sure some of the others we want will show up in dlc later down the road. I'm pretty much convinced it was due to dlc that we're not getting Mega Man in the initial roster.

Frank West.

Well MODOK got in because Capcom wanted a non-humanoid Marvel character that would provide some variety. That's who Marvel suggested. Plus he's being used quite often in the cartoon right now and I hear he's also showing up in the Hulk's comics more recently more often now.

Marvel didn't want Shuma, but Capcom convinced them to put him in because he's popular in Japan and an "important part of the series history."(their exact words). Not too fond of this decision myself. But he's in and that's that.

Super Skrull is in because they didn't want to waste four slots on the F4 and he has all their powers and only takes up one.(Much better choice)

They can at least use Blade! He's severely underused and if they want variety, well, they sure as hell don't have any black characters!

Or do they and I'm just forgetting?

Blade would provide racial diversity, not variety. As a character, they already have characters which pretty much would have a similar moveset as him. Theres other black characters in the MU with more to offer that might have been a better pick

Storm.

And Blade would probably play no much different than Deadpool and Dante. Which is probably why he was disconfirmed. They all use guns and swords. It's pretty feasible to make up two movesets from it, but three is making it difficult. In fact the one unique thing Blade has going for him would be out of character to utilize for him.(His vampiricism)

True, but they are definitely lacking in that department. Doesn't help that both companies already do anyway.

Blade would be too similar to Deadpool and Dante anyway. Let's see...Luke Cage?

Storm. And that's probably one too many for some.

I'd love Black Panther, with all the vibranium energy stuff that he has in the new cartoon. He could replace Gambit as the bo-staff and energy projectile guy.

Storm! Damn brain farts. Thanks for that.

Luke Cage = another generic brawler. We have Hulk, She-Hulk and the recently announced Hagger. Aside from using his chains, what could Luke do that would make him more unique?

I'd like to see Bishop in there at some point. His gimmick would have to be that he can only perform projectiles if he gets hit by one though and is able to redirect it.

I was taking a look at MegamanX9.com, and it seems they had a list from Shoryuken.com as of December 1st pointing the most voted choices from Japanese fans for DLC for Capcom's characters.

X ranked first place.
Vergil and Leon Kennedy were among the top 5.

Nothing really. Like I said though, brain farts today. Just a busy week and my mind's fried. Bishop I'd think would be good, maybe a bit similar to Cable but with an ability to absorb projectiles to boost energy bar. That'd be unique!

That'd be a good choice

I myself would love to see these two included.

I wonder if Capcom even takes a look at any of those many fan polls out there. Apparently X gets many votes on a lot of these polls. Would love to see him later add though DLC.

I doubt they do. Fans have been asking for X for a very long time even before this game was announced. Sad thing is Carnage will probably get in and not X or Classic Mega Man lol.

Bishop as a Perry character would be awesome... id love for war machine to make DLC but ACTUALLY make him diffferent from Iron man because we all know they aren't interchangable like previous games made them out to be :argh:

And as far as Leon goes... what would make him different from Chris or jill?

Also.... I want Sigma or Dr. Willie

A Mega Man will definitely get in. If not at launch, then definitely through DLC. I am just really hoping it will be X. The fan demand is really big. You'd think they'd want to please most of the fans.

Sigma really should be in.

Marvel has a team of villains planning to do something, as we've seen in the comic page. Why not Capcom?

I can see Wesker teaming up with Sigma. Vergil would be great there too. But I can't really imagine Akuma doing this.

Akuma would be like "Unless you want to fight, get the hell out of my face."

Just imagining what could be hurts. These 4 together, teaming up.

But again, who else has Capcom to offer? I don't know much about all the other franchises and their villains.

How about Doctor Voodoo for another black character. Thats definetly one that would provide much needed variety. I think he'd have made a solid fighter, especially with Dr. Strange not being in this
