Who doubts that Cap will die now huh?

Hooray! This is just what we need. More Wolverine! :whatever:

Uhhh...Omega Flight was suppose to be an ongoing, why the hell did they change it?

Oeming is going to release a statement on monday about it

Cap fakes his death, while Steve Rogers under a new disguise continues his hunt against the underbelly of SHIELD (yawn).

Not surprised that OMEGA FLIGHT is starting off as a mini; even with CW as a premise, it's extremely hard to launch a new ongoing and have it's sales remain steady after 5-6 issues. Hell, a lot of new ongoings or mini's can start to tumble down the top 100 by the 2nd or 3rd issue. Regardless, the cast looks interesting, the art rocks, Oeming is a decent writer and their bit from CW: CHOOSING SIDES was good, so I'm aboard. I don't mind the hyperbole; Stan Lee used to do that with every issue of every comic he wrote.

Slott's new mini can't come fast enough. I can't wait to see what he makes of the CW aftermath and what he does with Justice, a good, 20+ year old character who's been C-List for way too long.

I love that in CONFESSIONS, they got Bendis, because if ever there were a writer whose strength was writing issues where two characters talk in a room and take no action, not even rising from their seats, it's Bendis. He's the master at non-action. He honestly is wasted on comics and should move to soap operas. Plus, his one-shots usually are far better than protracted arcs, so it should be good.

Nice to see more IRON FIST and Marvel being secretive with some solict spoilers.

I still find it possible that Cap could die, either literally or faking it, in CW #7 as it looks like some form of the SHRA remains which means the Secret Avengers fail in their outright objective. I wouldn't put my foot on it but it's possible. Marvel's promised an ending that would infuriate readers, which seems to me that the SA's lose or suffer so Pyrric a victory that it seems worthless.

Good to see a NOVA title relaunching again. Guess he lives too. ;)

Steve Rogers can't die. He just can't.:csad:

I'd prefer to believe that too. Most likely, hopefully, we'll be right. But CW is the sort of story where characters die off to create "shockwaves" and all, although to be fair so far they've only axed off B-Listers or lower (Night-Thrasher, Namorita, Microbe, Speedfreak, Coldheart, Cobalt Man, Goliath, Jester, Jack O'Lantern, Mr. Fantastic's character; I just counted the ones in the main title). But Tom B. promised a story that'd shock readers and all that, and I can think of few beyond that. That's not saying it couldn't be faked, or that we could be wrong. It just seems like for Millar's ending, an A-Lister has to hit the woodchipper. That's, alas, the nature of the beast.

Brubaker loves Cap, but he loves Winter Soldier even more, and would leap at the chance to have him take of the legacy, if it came to that. Plus, it'd never last.

Still, Steve Rogers is almost like Marvel's Superman, having lasted some 60+ years (along with Namor, I guess, and others). So that alone makes even a probable guess of his death hard to swallow, or believe. Least for me.

I'll assume this is conjecture on your part.

considering Marvel's policy on keeping important dead characters as so is laughable at best, I wouldn't sweat it if Cap really bought it. Just give it 6 months. ;)

This one grabbed my interest, perhaps things DON'T go so for well for tony in terms of his relationship with shield post civil war...

Oh, yeah, totally my conjecture.

Next time just post a pic of the Kool-Aid man. OH YEAH! :csad:

Just making sure there wasnt some Brubaker interview out there where he said that.

I think it has to do more with:

She-Hulk: You sent my cousin into space in a rocket.

Tony: Uh yeah *****, I'm a *****e.

I was thinking that, too.

Thats the actual dialogue.

Also, I was thinking of the Confessions and Fallen Son books, and it really doesn't say the words die, died, death anywhere. Fallen could represent something else completely. Also, Oeming will release a statement tomorrow about Omega Flight's sudden mini-mizing.

It's the cracked shield logo on the ground though. Something just ain't quite right...

Possibly, just launching an ongoing is a risky thing, because if it tanks then Marvel has to either retroactively make it a mini like JUBILEE or NYX, or outright say, "we couldn't launch this so it's dead" after a year or less which is a little more embarassing. So I'm not surprised that they launch it as a mini, see how it flies and then go from there.

I still think SOMETHING dies in CW #7, or at least people believe someone does.

The Constitution dies.

Also, I'm going to look through some past interviews because I'm positive one of these fools at Marvel said no one would die in the last issue.:ninja:

Mebbe their doing taht training thing for the people taht signed?

They might have, I do remember reading that somewhere.

I'm betting that's the plan also, and guess who might take over as Cap.

What would be the point though? I mean, if he fakes his death, why would he want someone else running around as him. Think about it.

No majority on newsarama, jinxworld and alphawaves are pissed that it was changed with no prior reason. I for one am pissed.
