So which of the above do you consider the most disgusting, vile, evil piece of work in the Marvel Universe? The one with zero nobility or redeeming value.

This is invalid due to the lack of Kang. The man doesn't just conquer worlds, he conquers time periods. He murdered Washington DC once.

I'm not that familiar with Kang, so I forgot him.

Added.

No, Red Skull....thread over.

He's got one up on everyone on that list.....he's never once allied himself with Marvel heroes. Doom did it once (for his own reasons of course) during Onslaught. Also, he infamously shed a tear during the ASM 9/11 issue. (Yeah, I'm going there.....:oldrazz:).

Some on the list never aligned themselves with heroes like Mephisto and Ultron but the Skull is way more vile than those 2. He was involved in one of the most heinous acts against humanity in WWII. Even Magneto hates him for it.

Well, Dr. Doom is the greatest villain of the Marvel Universe. It goes almost without saying at this point. Though, if you're looking for the most evil, Doom's probably not, but I don't think the two aspects are interchangeable. But I voted for him anyway, cause he's Doom.

Earthside it would be between Doom and Magneto with Doom edging Magneto out. Spaceside it would be Thanos hands down. Someone should start a Villians Battle Royal page.

I was going by Hobgoblins description. Skull fits the bill. Doom is the greatest villain but he doesn't fit all of the criteria Hobby gave like the Red Skull does.

Well to be fair, when you look at the title of the thread you think..who stands out within the MU as their greatest villian..which I think would be Doom. BUT going by the more specific details stated in the opening post..yeah, I guess the ol' Red Skull would certainly rank pretty high; top three if not the top dog.

Hmm..I may dwell on this a bit and see if another one comes to mind aside from the Skull.

(*Maybe the title should be more appropriately stated as Marvel's EVILEST Villain?)

I suppose another way to say it is, If these guys all went head to head, who would be left standing? (Assuming they all had the same power level.)

I'm gonna go with Red Skull. While Doom has done some horribly evil things, he can often prove to be an ally to the good guys now and then. Red Skull would never do anything to even remotely help his enemies. Not to mention he's done some really ****ed up ****.

Ok...after some pondering..I have some other possibles:

Since you brought up the Red Skull..how about Arnim Zola? The Red Skull thought his genetic manipulating was "good" enough to utilize some of it.

Also, how about Bullseye? I don't recall him doing anything to reign in his homicidal tendencies and also never recall him really 'aiding' any of the heroes in the MU.

I'm gonna go with Mephisto. All of the others' paltry evil is small-time compared to his. He's not even interested in little things like killing or politics, either. His greatest desire is the corruption of pure souls. Not just killing a hero, but actually finding that tiny, dark part of them and exploiting it until it consumes them. That's a biblical sort of evil right there.

Besides, several of those dudes aren't even evil, really. Magneto's a misguided and megalomaniacal idealist, Loki's a petty child lashing out at those he perceives as his tormentors, Galactus is a fundamental part of the universe fulfilling a necessary function, Dr. Doom's another megalomaniac who just truly believes that the world would be better off with himself in control (and Reed Richards dead), etc.

I guess I'm looking at the "global player" type of bad guy. Bullseye is an ass, but he's a serial killer in the end. Skull? Doom? They'll kill entire countries for their aims.

Norman Osborn is my favorite villain but his true goals are just OsCorp and tormenting Spider-Man. Yes, he went all megalomaniacal in The Gathering of Five and in Dark Reign, but I see those as anomalies. Doom and Skull do that sort of thing 24/7.

Others I thought were debatable as to if they are evil or not but still warranted a mention. Galactus isnt evil, he's a force of nature. Yet he does intend to wipe out planet earth. Ultron isnt evil, he's just a robot. Yet he's done some nasty things. Mephisto is a demon and thus evil personified, so I thought he was actually kind of a cheat. Magneto is a wild card. He's been a good guy but he's also tried to start a nuclear war between the US and USSR.

I'd say Skull is as a evil as a human can be while Mephisto is just pure evil.

Ultron is totally evil. "Just a robot" doesn't hold much water when you consider that every other arc involving the Vision (either one), Jocasta, Machine Man, or Ultron himself are all about the nature of humanity and free will. I think it's been pretty conclusively proven by now that robots at the level of sophistication of those 5 and others are definitely sentient beings. Ultron's absolutely responsible for his actions, which are like 99.999999% evil.

Good point about Mephisto, though. I suppose he's just fulfilling his function in the same sense that Galactus does.

Well just offhand, I think if Bullseye had the means to do something on a bigger level, for example wiping out an entire countries population, I think he'd be ALL over that. Sure his main gig is killing mano-a-mano, but I'm quite sure if the opportunity presented itself, he wouldn't really have that much of a problem doing it. Hell, he might see it as a cool vacation from his usual gig....

I'd have to go With Doom tho to ME it's a toss up between Doom and Mephisto and LOKI.
I wouldn't say the Big G is evil really, I would have used Thanos for Cosmic beings.

Which was one of the reasons I chose Doom. Not to mention he "played" with Asgardians to see what made them tick.
