Then it might happen?

It's kind of funny that the sculpture looks more like it contains a human head than the movie Spider-man which actually does have a real person under the mask.

They probably won't go with the bug eyes again.
Given the massive critical and financial failure know as TASM2, they're definitely going distant themselves from the most memorable feature on that costume

Personally I think they go way overboard with the hollywood 'movie magic' approach to Spider-man's costume. If the costume is meant to have removable gloves/boots/mask, then give it removable gloves/boots/mask. Don't make it a one piece that is humanly impossible for a single person to put on and then pretend it is divided. If you want the head to be shaped a certain way, then make a mask that gives the desired look, don't put a face shell under the mask and pretend it isn't really there.

Because of the head frame for the mask, why do you think ASM2 had the biggest head shell of all the movie suits?

While youre right, that really shouldnt have been a problem and it shouldnt be one in the future. This crap is just unnecessary, it adds SO MUCH unwarranted size to andrews head

It makes sense from a storytelling POV. Spidey's made mention in the comics about having filters in his mask to protect him from gas/toxin attacks, and it would be logical for him to have padding and insulation to protect his head from trauma.

That was never acknowledged or explained in TASM2, so it's pretty irrelevant.

But they dont even slightly hint at that in tasm 1 or 2 or the original trilogy. And I dont think thats a good enough excuse to give spidey a huge, odd shaped head in costums

I can almost guarantee you that it's because of the lense size.
Marc Webb said he wanted them as big as possible, so in order for the mask to look right and not un-even they had to increase the head shell's size.

Eh, I guess. I think it can be pulled off without the huge ass shell getting in the way. It makes the head movements look off, imo

The eyes looked goofy in motion imo

Don't want to see the bug eyes again unless they cast a 15 year-old.

The huge head certainly didnt help. While I too wanna see romita eyes, the design of the tasm2 bug eyes weren't that great and in the future I definitely wanna see a better version

Maybe they can start off with the bug/USM eyes (different design, NOT ASM2), but as Peter gets older they get smaller and smaller until they're the Romita eyes.

Both previous franchises missed opportunities with the mask. After Goblin gassed Spidey in SM1, it would have made sense for Peter to install something to shield him from future attacks like that. In TASM2, insulating his mask should have been something that a intellectual man would have done after initially encountering an electricity-based opponent. That doesn't mean the new franchise can't show his mask and costume evolving to be more efficient in battle.

I wouldnt mind that. Ive said before that I think itd be cool to see different (but not drastically different) suits like Tony. The eyes dont have to be huge either, id love something like this

I think it'd be a good way to symbolize Peter's maturity throughout the films: as he gets older and more experienced his Spider-Man eyes start to close and become sharper and more majestic looking.
It'll symbolize how Peter is getting almost like tired of his life as Spider-Man.
It'd also keep things fresh and help the toy sales.

Nice symbolism, starts off 'wide-eyed' and innocent

Nice idea, but I'd rather not have the costume change much -- especially the mask.

Most movie superhero costumes nowadays tend to change from film to film. (Superman being the exception).
It think it would be boring to keep the same mask and costume throughout five films.

Tweak the colors, then.

Raimi's trilogy had the same suit (excluding the very minor changes), so I say it'd be fine.

Yeah, but we're talking about five movies.
At least give Peter a new costume for the fourth movie.
And every MCU hero has changed costume from film to film.
even Hulk got a slimmer redesign for AOU.

While that is true, I can't see 'em changing Peter's classic suit much at all aside from giving the colors an upgrade. If anything, we can just get the Symbiote suit (if they go that route) and the Iron Spider (which is almost certain).

Just change progressively change the eyes and slightly change the web patterns from film-to-film.

Also, I'd like for the Black suit to have animated expressive eyes, it would make it feel more "otherworldly" and we'd also get to see the animated eyes in live action.
