Homecoming Marvel's Spider-Man Costume!? - Part 2

I actually like the shape of that logo for some reason its different and is easily recognizable as spider.
Maybe because webbs logo look so similar to raimis, im craving a different kind of logo.

Pretty good take on the classic costume I think. Boots are a bit weird to me though and I could do without the glowing spider (but I like its design though). Eyes are actually one of the few depictions of the smaller eyes I've actually liked. Though if they were to adapt that for live action then I don't think such think borders around the lenses would look that great. Overall a cool costume. Also it's good to see the web pits back.

Out of what I've seen so far I would be happy with either this sort of design or the concept art of the costume with Ben Reilly elements to it that was posted a few pages back (which I would prefer over this one if made to choose between them.

Feige confirmed ages ago that the main suit will be the traditional red & blue. Both Peter's new suit and Ben Reily are not traditional in any way, shape or form.

Harry, you don't half say some hyperbolic nonsense sometimes. For one the concept art had some Ben Reilly aspects to it, but was closer to 616 imo than being and outright Ben Reilly suit. Marvel comic's new take on the suit has less deviations than that. They're both heavily classic inspired yet you say they're not in any way, shape or form. I don't mean to offend, but it just baffles me how you can say some of the things you do on a regular basis.

Agreed, the new suit for the comics is basically a high-tech upgrade of the classic Lee/Ditko/Romita Sr. suit. Ben's suit was faithful enough to still be considered classic, but also different enough to be considered new..if that makes any sense.

Either way, I'd love to see both suits on the big screen one day.

Well I think you're setting yourself up for potential disappointment. Even with Feige's comments about a classic suit, I wouldn't actually expect something that looks straight off the page. As far as the new comic suit, I think it does look very much classic. Same with the concept. Both are have very classic elements in their own respect with deviations that are not that big. Even the concept art's massive negative space Spider design is kept within a largely faithful classic Spider-man suit.

Agree to disagree about the TASM concept suit. Blue rings around the fingers, blue in palm of the gloves, Ben Reily style Spider and weird boots. All unnecessary changes.

I actually think the new Peter Parker suit might be based on the movie suit albeit less classic.

I don't want something too sleek or modern, like ASM. Since he's going back to Marvel I think it makes sense for Spidey to go back to the basics.

I like Alex Ross' design. It's simple and classic and more home-made looking then the previous movies. It also has brighter colors and thicker eye-outlines, which would set it apart.

You know there's no way we're getting a complete copy n paste of comics to screen. There gonna change something to make it look modern regardless of what we want. It may look like the classic comic, but it won't be 100% the same. More likely it'll be 86% the same. Maybe 97% if we're lucky.

It all depends on how they approach it. There isn't just one way to come at it. I saw some TASM concept art that made me think they could have done it quite well.

They could end up cgi'ing it if it's not possible to make it look good irl. Sorta like what they're doing for batman's cape in suicide squad.

only thing i dont like of the upcoming comics new look is the glowing eyes/logo to we know what the heck his new suit can do.

As for the film. I am still going his first suit is more likely going to be something more like either kickass costume. Or an under armour like material for his first suit. Then when the solo comes around. He creates a more updated look, with some lets say tech enhancements. So then it look more hollywood caliber look ala like the raimi/webb suits. I still cant wait to see what his first suit is going to look like.
