Mass Effect 3 - - - - Part 13

Finally unlocked "Unwavering" after about 4 full playthroughs, 2 of which on Insanity & beating all the gold MP maps multiple time! Thank you EA Origin glitch but at least this is such a good game that it was cool to replay it.

Also just got about 10 mins into Omega. On hols tomorrow so probably won't get a chance to finish it. Least I'll have that, Dragonborn, Halo 4, BOp2 & Borderlands 2 to look forward to when I get back. :woot:

Does anyone know if the dlc not included on the ps3 version of mass effect 1 will be available on the PS store?

The PS3 is only gettting "Bring Down The Sky" which is integrated into the game. There won't be any other DLC for ME1.

& it's not really a story DLC so to me it's easily the best one to miss if you have to miss one.

Yeah Pinnacle Station was only worth it for the achievements. It's never mentioned again in the rest of the series.

Bring Down the Sky's outcome does have some repercussions in ME3 though.

The only interesting thing about Pinnacle Station is the Proto-ME2/3 style cabin you get at the end, but it being off the Normandy sort of ruins the value of that. I blazed through on Casual once and that was enough.

Sometimes I wonder what kind of stuff we would have gotten if the ME1 DLC plans hadn't fallen through for whatever reason.

Glad to hear that worked out for you.

Does it make sense to play BDS before or after you beat the main quest line? Or does it not matter?

The game stops once you've completed the main quest so definitely do it prior.

Yup, ME1 lacks the ability to free roam after the game so do as much as possible before the mission on the planet Virmire. Once you reach Virmire, the game goes into hyperdrive & it's a race to the end.

Ah, I thought you could do some side missions before you go to Virmire. I guess not.

You don't have to do Virmire last in planet order, so technically you can do things after Virmire.

You just can't do stuff after Virmire if it's the last of your four planets.

That's correct.

My ME1 order was: Feros>Therum>Bring Down the Sky>Virmire>Noveria>Illos

I always do Noveria first, do you see Liara's mother in other levels if you do it later?

Yeah she only pops up on Noveria.

Someone's currently running a stream of ME1 on the PS3

Edit:

Having watched from Eden Prime>The Citadel thus far, my thoughts: Loading looks like it takes just a bit longer, texture popping almost totally reduced; maybe that's the trade off. Lighting looks better/more natural (not a world's difference though). Looks like its running fine framerate rise.

Mass Effect 3 has been out for nearly eight months, but that doesn't mean the game's DLC release schedule is slowing down. The next batch of downloadable content will involve BioWare Edmonton's entire writing team.
    ... More

I wonder if it's going to be closer to a full expansion than what they've been doing previously.
