As good as Mass Effect 3 was, it would've been an infinitely better game if it wasn't so rushed. Issues like Tali's face reveal and the ****** endings probably wouldn't had happened if Bioware had more time to work on it. Who knows.

One of my biggest problem with Mass Effect 3 is how automated much of the dialogue is. I feel like Shepard was doing way more talking in Mass Effect 3 without my input than in the previous two games. Also there were fewer dialogue options.

This one I really hated. Most of the time it did not feel like it was my Shepard doing the talking.

So my best friend got ME3 for the WiiU. He loved it. He did everything, all the bonus missions, the find crap missions, everything. I told him a few things and explained things he should do to bump up his resources. He adored the game.

Then he got to the ending...

Now he hates the ****ing thing.

I never got to play Mass Effect 3 because of the negative press (though I should eventually). I googled her face..she's not bad.

Were people expecting her to look like the Predator, or was the build up to the reveal weak?

Which in and of itself is weird since as seen on the last page they had gone through the trouble of creating concept art they could have used.

I still don't think the ending was that big if a deal. I'm still a huge fan of the series.

I didn't see it as any different than the ending options from the first two games. Especially the second.

As for the dialogue options I was fine with it except they removed the neutral option. When it came to topics you already knew about, I didn't mind if the the speech was automated. In ME1 there a was a lot of times when you had options that lead to the same line of dialogue said. They just cut those out to make the conversation flow a bit more fluid.

Yep it was quite lazy and strange of them in my opinion. And I would have liked if she looked a little more alien. They barely did anything to the original photo.

Well the first and second games were both set up for the third. Those games weren't the end of the series. The finale to the trilogy should have carried more weight and been bigger than those two. With that said, I didn't think the extended cut did alleviate some the issues people had with it. Not sure why he'd hate the game now especially since his version came with that included

It was on the Wii U and that system didn't get most of the story DLC.

I really like the novels and there seems to be a few comics out as well and was wondering if they are worth a read.

Not at the time. He didn't know about the Cerberus Base being the final point of the game. I told him that I preferred to play the Citadel DLC after I finished 3 for more of an after party vibe as it's far better than the choose your color endings.

Did he play the first two?

No but I did and he saw me play a good amount.

The Revelation novel written by Drew Karpyshyn was good, I thought. Go for it if you wanted more details of the history between Anderson and Saren. And want to see more of Kahlee Sanders.

The comics are a mixed bag. None leap out as good enough to recommend. I liked Garrus' Foundation issue, but there's really not much there we can't deduce from talking to him in the games.

Yeah Revelation was good but out of the three novels I probably like the second one the best. I haven't gotten the fourth one yet cuz apparently there are several errors in it (due to a different writer)

Hmm, perhaps I'll skip the comics then.

Just flipping through the errors here and they seem excessive. It's like the guy was given the codex from the games and he just flipped through it and just did mad libs with various species.
