Mass Effect 3 - Part 3

hmm the legendary loading time issue might disappear with the next console . Maybe

Maybe my PS3 is just old, but I don't experience excruciatingly long loading times in any other of my games. But with ME2, it was just crazy. I don't have that issue on the 360 at all.

I doubt it. There have been games that have been able to achieve no loading times since the PS1 era. Soul Reaver is one that comes to mind. 2 generations later and still only a select few (like the Uncharted series) can achieve that. I imagine it will be isolated cases again and not the norm to have loading times eliminated

I sure would love to get my hands on that big bulky Cerberus armor and paint it in my colors.

Hah, I was just playing that part of ME2 today. Though, I think Garrus is more like Punisher than Bats.

This is why Garrus rocks. In ME1 Garrus was more like a Turian Dirty Harry, and in ME2 a superhero vigilante (but Batman is much more fun to say :p), so I'm interested to see what are the parallels to his character will be in ME3.

Almost finished with my "perfect" playthrough of ME1.

Man.. what a chore this game has become, lol.

Pre-order a Mass Effect artbook for an in-game rifle on PC or Xbox (5 hours ago)

Three games in, the true meaning of "Mass Effect" is revealed: it refers to the masses of stuff you're tempted to buy for in-game DLC. Joining the recently announced DLC-laden action figures is the "Art of the Mass Effect Universe" artbook, which includes a download code for "the collector's rifle, among other cool content to beat out your opponents" when pre-ordered from Barnes & Noble.

The "collector's rifle" refers to the Collector Assault Rifle, described by artbook publisher Dark Horse Comics as a gun whose "power source appears to be an internal organ with biotic capacitance; its ammunition resembles pellets of metallic enamel that strip shields off enemies with deadly efficiency." Strangely, Dark Horse also specifies that the codes work only on PC and Xbox 360, so PS3 owners will get nothing for their book purchase but the book they purchased.

[Thanks Mark!]
this is a Rifle I already have from the ME2 Collectors . it was cool but seeing I have already have it . I'm good. these always come back in someway or form after weird dlc thing ea pushs is over. if they were exclusive before like this rifle.

Anyways Discussions in session.

Bioware is getting ridiculous with this exclusive DLC nonsense. It's getting way out of hand.

I know. Good thing I don't care about DLC weapons or armor. I would say I'd care about characters, but they probably wouldn't have much story like Zaeed (sadly) did in ME2.

Weapons (that I'll never use) are trivial to me. So.. I won't feel like I'm missing out.

Collector Rifle wasn't as cool as I thought it would be. Only 30 shots, and weak as all hell fire power, and they're re-releasing it? Lame.

Actully man, it's ea making them do this. If you saw the none sense crysis back pack that they were selling for the CE of that game . (Seriouslly a back pack of all things )You'd know it's actually them doing that, and not bioware . Ether way yeah it's wrong.

Maybe it is EA, but I haven't seen any of EA's other properties ****ed out with this kind cross-promotional, merchandise-based DLC to the extent that Mass Effect and Dragon Age have. It might just be EA being EA, but Bioware isn't exactly innocent in all this either.

well I remember they did ****e out crysis 2. but there was more complaining from fans then them ever wanting the extra product's and I avoided the rest of that other stuff EA wanted to sell from that franchise like the pleague. And the prices were insane as well . It just seem's to me they didn't learn their lession at all and are pushing even more agressively through bioware. Sad really.

I'm going to get the Collector's Edition. As for the rest, screw them. Greedy bastards.

Honestly, I'm surprised that micro-transactions didn't make their way into The Old Republic. While I think EA has changed in the quality of their games, they're still greedy sons of b****es.

Mass Effect 3 squad spoilers

[BLACKOUT]Not joking. DO NOT blame me if you go beyond this point and see more than you bargained for. [/BLACKOUT]
Okay, remember that super spoilery secret squadmate I was talking about a while back? I have a picture of him/it for anyone interested.

Also, as a bonus, I have a picture of another rather spoilerific squaddie that hasn't yet been revealed. One that I felt from playing ME2 was obviously going to be included, but nevertheless it might come as a surprise/spoiler to others:
