Ok, follow up question to my earlier question. Is the DLC character that comes with the collector's edition only going to be on the collector's edition? There is nothing on the ME3 website about a character coming with the collector's edition. Are they pulling a Zaaed and releasing the character with every version of the game?

I didn't even know there was an extra character for the CE(or any version for that matter). I just saw ME3 CE and preordered it. I dont even know what I'm getting.


Edit, after looking at Amazons page, i dont see anything about a character.

The DLC character and mission is not a CE exclusive. It will be available for purchase on day-1 to those who didn't purchase the CE.

That is amazing, this score will be the best of the three, and I really like the other two. Clint is amazing, I always listen to his scores, The Fountain and Moon are my favorites of his.

I kind of figured that would be the case, it'll be interesting to see if they set ME4 a decent chunk of time away from ME3.

What do you mean? Why would you play a descendant of Shepard? Do you mean in future games?

Has anyone ever pre-ordered from Origin? I was going to go the Toys R Us route but my game wouldn't get here until 3 days after release. I just want to make sure there haven't been negative experiences. Thanks!

EDIT: I've tried talking to their customer service over Chat but they all seem to be in some outsourced area, where they have no idea what I'm talking about.

Just finished my ME1 playthrough, despite the issues with that game it still manages to excite and rev up quite nicely during Virmire and the final sequence starting from Iilos but all in all - that is that for me and the first Mass Effect.

What do you mean? Why would you play a descendant of Shepard? Do you mean in future games?

It would be an interesting concept. Especially when you consider the race of Shepard's descendant. If you upload data, it should reflect who Shepard's romantic relationship was with. For example, if Shepard was with Ashley or Miranda, the descendant would be human. If he were with Jack, his descendant would be pure human, but have strong biotic powers. But the real differences come in if Shepard romanced an alien. If Shepard was with Tali, the descendant could have some Quarian traits. If FemShepard was with Garrus, some Turian traits. It could actually create some cool nuances.

Species can't interbreed with one another in ME (even the Asari are moreso using their partner's nervous system to jump start their own reproduction system).

But there would be changes... For instance, don't the Asari say if they breed with a human, the child is Asari? So the child of Shepard and Liara would potentially be Asari.

Basically any offspring from an Asari is 100% Asari, its supposed to be something of a wives' tale that the offspring inherit characteristics from the father race but there are some lines in ME2 that make it sound like scientists have disproven that.

I was really speaking to the impossibility of there being any descendent from a pairing with Tali/Garrus or Thane.
